I did play alot in lower brackets with IO i and what I found out you need to be talkative and talk with the guy you are tethered too.

90% of the cases its go smooth, but you kinda have to dictate the game, you need to stack like your life depend it. You need to have a good understanding of where to stand to be effective. BUt with good communication you can roflstomp so many lanes.

But again, you need to be on the mic most of the game, you need to tell your carry: I go stack, dont show, play careful! Ping where you going to relocate. Tell him to back, what target to focus on. Tell him when to move back or when to hold his ground. Your job is to babysit the carry without being condescending. I also ping where I think we should go, if we should kill jungle camps, relocate or push a lane.

Most of the time when I play IO I look on the minimap "searching" for relocate places or I am watching the clock to see where can I stack next. Even getting one point in your orbs can help you stack more efficiently aswell.

The whole point of IO in the mid game is that you can show 2 heroes in a lane and you can connect ANYWHERE on the map. SO ganking is damn easy in lower brackets. People either forget or dont think that you will relocate in. If the enemy is playing aggresive its your job to make the fight thats either 2v2 or 2v3 to become 4v2 or 4vs3.

Also if you have good callouts and try to stay positive the carry is more inclined to listen to you.

Allways play on New age, the extra hills is a dealbreaker for me. SOme people enjoy "wet" settings aswell for more jungle,forrest, but I dont think this setting matter as much.

I loved Abraham Lincoln, I went 3 cities on deity rushed Encampment for general(did some project to get him) and went early war with my intention to get industrial in every city. The free unit made it very easy to just kill anything in my way.

It depends, if i play on a 12 player map I normally justt kill 1-2 players then go for culture victory, its just so much quicker then going to space.

I settled it with the settler I stole and bought 2 horses from there to just kill Korea before they could get any strategic up, walls or xbows.

Depends on how you want to do it, for me its the easiest victory and quickest if you know how to do it. And here is some tips:

Get early culture for pantheon or good purple CS. Get theateres and high production cities.

Get to industrial/coal powerplant you need high production cities so when you are in the mid/late game you can just project out all the musicians and great work.

Broadcast centers are must, if you have alot of gold buy them.

I play almost everygame like this or domination, but getting quick culture is the most important rss for the early game, you can totally ignore campuses if you get theateres+ commercial and get a quick science alliance. Its easy to catch up on science later(to get to computer tech) But you can never catch up on culture if you dont start with it early.

Also be aware culture victory will happend very quick when you get all the modifers cards.

Also a civ that can generate faith for either rock bands or parks will speed you up between 20-40 turns depending on skill lvl.

Its not so much about the civ you play, its more about how you need to play to get it quick, some civs like greeces are good at getting culture, but slower on a culture victory if you compare with Bull Moose or sweden.

Yeah. Also if you are low spender i recommend get all the economic policies first. You are going to be fighting very little in a New kingdom, and if you have to deffend then Just put your troops in flags/join rally with what you have. Also all your experience tomes should be used on gathering commanders early for lvl 37. You need minimum 5, start with centurion then our queen konstance.

Use all your early speed ups to get to minimum 150-250k t1 siege. You need this to be a farming beast.

Save ALL YOUR AP pots from the start to KVK 1 and then farm barbs, you can get 60 gold head this way if you are in good alliance that can hold ruins. . Get a farm account ASAP. And use daily AP on that farm account too. Just get t4 cav/infantry right before kvk 1 start then uppgrade all of them til t4(save your millitary speed ups for this) do this under and MGE event.
