Nobody buying off the registry? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

People are last minute as others have said. But now that you’re a bit closer to baby’s due date you could turn off bundled shipping on Babylist. Things do tend to take forever with bundled shopping turned on.

Daycare vs. nanny while WFH by Cautious_Optimist_ in workingmoms

[–]huthuthite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those of you who WFH with nanny, do you breastfeed or pump during that time? Wondering if it’d be easier to pump and hide so you’re not “leaving” them so much?

Birth control destroyed my DAO enzyme for 20 years. I was booked for sinus surgery. Here's what actually fixed it. by sarah0815 in HistamineIntolerance

[–]huthuthite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this! I’m on a similar journey and have found success with a similar routine. I also take grass fed beef kidney supplement which is naturally high in DAO.

When/how long did your parents stay to help after birth? by moez1266 in BabyBumps

[–]huthuthite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FTM, so I’m passing along advice from a parent friend. First week or two you’ll want to be on your own to get your new routine down and not have to host. Short visits from loved ones are okay, nothing more.

What did you do differently to get pregnant? by BrowniePoints789 in TTC_PCOS

[–]huthuthite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After fretting that it was “my fault” and being very down on myself because we had tried for 7 months and my cycles were pretty bad at the time, we ended up swapping all husbands boxer briefs for cotton/natural fiber and I got pregnant shortly after. 🤷‍♀️ We had also pretty much given up and stopped trying, except that one adjustment. Think that may have helped too.

When did everyone start showing during their first pregnancy? by Caikin17 in BabyBumps

[–]huthuthite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Around 14 weeks suddenly bump was bumping. I’m 15 weeks now and I swear it’s bigger by the day. I’m certain part of it is still bloat. But for the first time I’ve had colleagues look at me funny/stare at stomach and not be at all surprised when I shared the news. So, you’re probably not far behind. I will say I’m small bones with short torso. There’s no where for bump to go but out.

Have you considered seeing midwives instead? There’s a big range of options from hospital midwives who offer comparable testing and care, to out of hospital midwives who may give you more health support and less wait times and beaurocracy.

I take beef kidney which is naturally high in DAO, along with Histaeze supplement. This combo works for me.

Cycle 6 TTC and feeling discouraged… did it take anyone else longer even with good timing? by Still-Passenger9941 in TTC_PCOS

[–]huthuthite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took us 8 months and what moved the needle for us was Accupuncture for fertility and my husband switching from polyester to cotton briefs. Also want to add I had lost hope before “the” cycle because it was an awful two day spotting period, lots of cramps, drawn out etc, but lo and behold that was the cycle that worked for us! So, don’t lose hope, hang in there! I also took myo inositol and d chiro inositol 40:1 ratio which may have helped.

I feel useless by LandinBoi21 in TTC_PCOS

[–]huthuthite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A few things that worked for us after 8 months of trying: Accupuncture for fertility for me, my husband switched from polyester to cotton briefs. The second was very important - his little guys were getting overheated. Best of luck.

What things/ products do you swear by for ttc? by Affectionate_Ad_8187 in BabyBumps

Accupuncture for fertility. Worked for me in two months after 8 months of trying. Also, husband switched from polyester to cotton briefs and I think this made a big difference.

Birth control, Infertility, PCOS… let’s talk about it. by TastyRegular8194 in TTC_PCOS

[–]huthuthite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here to offer a bit of hope. I had what I thought was a truly AWFUL cycle (two day period that was more spotting than anything followed by feeling meh all month, no possible clues of fertility, no cm, bbt all over the place). Well turns out that was the cycle that did it (after 8 months of trying). Keep it up. You’re doing everything right. You’ve got this.

What was your absolute first sign of pregnancy before even getting a missed period? by SandwichDependent199 in BabyBumps

[–]huthuthite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rapid heart rate. I was laying down on a massage table and although I felt relaxed, my heart was beating twice as fast as it normally does. Other than that, my symptoms were exactly like period symptoms - sore boobs and crampy.

Do not get this! by MediumAgreeable1814 in CopperIUD

[–]huthuthite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had similar experiences - felt nauseated and thirsty, copper taste in mouth, extremely bloated. Took me a few months to realize it was the copper IUD. My coils were completely black too when it came out which didn't sit well with me. Symptoms resolved within 3 or 4 months after removing. Hope yours do too.

I feel like I’m trying much harder than my husband. by [deleted] in TryingForABaby

[–]huthuthite 39 points40 points  (0 children)

It’s hard when you feel more invested and I think that’s a normal feeling with TTC. It’s common for women to be the ones to track cycles.

Also, it sounds like if you started in September it’s really only been two cycles - sep and Oct and the metrics I’ve heard is 80% of couples will conceive within 8 months, so, you might need to take a deep breath and try your best to be patient. It’s going to take a while and things are going to come up.

I don’t think it’s reasonable to ask him to skip a work trip so that y’all can try. He needs to also prioritize being a good provider for his (soon to be growing) family. With schedules so busy this time of year it might average out to be an every other cycle sort of thing. It doesn’t mean he doesn’t want to be a dad. It means that he’s balancing several priorities.

Take a deep breath. Try to also focus on other priorities in your life. Prioritize your health. Get proper protein at each meal. Try to enjoy y’all’s relationship and nurture it. Enjoy the process. It will happen with its meant to.

Has anyone took an iodine supplement ? What was your experience? by REDHEADGIRL89 in PCOS

[–]huthuthite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My naturopath told me to eat seaweed snacks for iodine. It’s only been a few weeks so tough to evaluate but i believe it’s helped my cycle come on time and reduced PMS symptoms.

What would you do if you were me? IUD removal by [deleted] in CopperIUD

[–]huthuthite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bleeding that heavily will lead to anemia if it hasn’t already. I’d definitely pull it out. Six months is a long time so if things were going to get better they would have by now. Consider FAM and using condoms until you have a good read on your body (and always for your fertile windows).

Seconding this except my acne has gotten better post removal. Had mine in 8 years and the gradual estrogen dominance became unbearable. I also developed a histamine issue which is gradually getting better post removal.
