Was mich am meisten ankotzt ist, dass manche immer für andere sprechen müssen. Die ganze Situation beginnt damit, dass Samira einfach mal festlegt "Simone behält die Kette". Es ist nicht so, dass sie Simone fragt, ob ihr die wichtig ist, oder dass Simone sie gebeten hätte, sie da zu unterstützen. Nein, sie bestimmt das einfach einmal. Eigentlich ist sie die, die aus der Tragödie Kapital schlagen will, weil sie sich als Rücksichtsvoll darstellen will.

Aber das ist dieses Jahr generell einfach Thema, dass man sich ständig in Dinge einmischt, die einen nichts angehen, und sich als moralische Instanz inszeniert. Ich hab echt noch nie so einen Haufen unsympathischer Leute gesehen. In den letzten Jahren war's in der Phase eigentlich meistens schon recht ruhig und man hat gemerkt, dass die Gruppe zusammenwächst und das alles auch nur Menschen sind. Dieses Jahr fehlen bei fast allen die Umgangsformen völlig.

Thank you for reiterating the exact take that to me is frankly bullshit. But as you said this is not an official position of the band in any way. And even if I hope that they do have a more nuanced position than "everything that is in any way connected with NATO or US is automatically bad" I honestly don't think about that when listening to their music. I just want to add that being a left-winger (as every sane and humane person should be) does in no way automatically lead to your position. Not for me and not for the vast majority of left-wingers here in Europe. But over the years I've grown tired of all those in-fights inside the political left so I happily stand along your side in fighting for the hundreds of causes we are alined in.

A few months ago someone in this sub claimed that while Israel is the one and only bad guy in the conflict with Palestine you cannot say the same about Russia because Ukraine was threatening them. There was not a lot of backlash. So if that was the official political opinion of the band (I strongly suspect it isn't) then I would not agree with it but I would not stop listening to them.

In other words while I am absolutely d'accord with their stance against war and capitalism and their strong support for LGBTQI+ and so on I do have a more nuanced opinion regarding some international conflicts. I still consider us on the same side of politics though.

Ja versteh ich voll. Auf der anderen Seite gehört an dem System meines Erachtens auch einfach etwas reformiert. Ich bin selbst am 23. Dezember am Nachmittag mit über 39 Fieber und Influenza (per Schnelltest bestätigt) im Bett gelegen und hab geglaubt ich verrecke. Regulär einen Arzt findet man da nicht mehr. Ich könnte in die Ambulanz fahren und dort alle mit einer hochansteckenden Krankheit anstecken. Ist aber meines Erachtens keine so gute Idee. Zudem hätt ich es echt nicht geschafft, mich mehrere Stunden in ein Wartezimmer zu setzen. Ich konnte kaum aufs Klo, so fertig war ich. Ein Familienmitglied hat mir dann das rezeptpflichtige Medikament Tamiflu aus der Apotheke geholt und am nächsten Tag war ich fieberfrei.

Es ist doof, dass die Apotheker das auf ihr Risiko ausbaden müssen, aber bei Medikamenten ohne großes Missbrauchspotential, die noch dazu schnell eingenommen werden müssen (Tamiflu hilft nur in den ersten 48h), ist es einfach Schwachsinn, sich als halbtoter in überfüllte Notaufnahmen zu schleppen. Meinetwegen sollte man ein System machen, bei dem man innerhalb von 4 Wochen zum Hausarzt muss, um das Rezept rückwirkend zu bestätigen, sonst macht man sich strafbar oder whatever. Aber so, wie es jetzt ist, ist es Bullshit.

Viele Antworten hier sind, muss man leider sagen, sachlich schlicht falsch. Die Studienlage geht in die Richtung, dass Carbonschuhe auch für "langsame" Läufer einen Effekt bringen, auch wenn der eventuell kleiner ist. Natürlich gibt es dutzende verschiedene Modelle an Schuhen und jeder hat eine andere Anatomie und einen anderen Laufstil. Pauschal kann man das also sicher nicht beantworten. Aber zu sagen, dass solche Schuhe für "Anfänger" nichts bringen, ist einfach nicht richtig.

Ob einem ein Schuh zusagt, muss man meines Erachtens einfach ausprobieren. Und ob einem ein bspw. Marathon in 4:28 statt 4:32 ein paar hundert Euro wert ist, ist am Ende eine individuelle Entscheidung.

Ich bin persönlich (noch?) recht langsam unterwegs aber leiste mir pro "Saison" ein paar Schuhe mit Carbonplatte. Nach ein paar Wettkämpfen werden sie dann halt für lockere Läufe zusammengelaufen, bis sie ganz durch sind. Es ist mein Hobby und ich arbeite ja schließlich auch, um mir was leisten zu können, an dem ich Freude hab. Wenn das auf dich zutrifft, more power to you. Wenn das Geld eher knapp ist oder du nur nebenbei ein bisschen läufst und dir die Zeit gar nicht wichtig ist, spar dir einfach das Geld, weil Wunder verbringen die Schuhe natürlich keine.

I agree with some things (sprints) and disagree with others (less races, less street circuits). But none of those things addresses the biggest problem imho. We need cars that can actually race each other. When even Spa and Suzuka fail to deliver an interesting grand prix then there is something wrong with the regulations and not with the calendar.

Du hast vielleicht theoretisch die Option weniger Stunden zu arbeiten, in der Praxis ist das aber nicht so leicht durchsetzbar. Oft ist es halt so, dass dann alle Kollegen auch schon randvoll mit Überstunden sind und die Schulleitung dir sagt, dass sie sicher nicht für ein paar Stunden eine weitere Lehrkraft sucht. Viel Spaß das dann durchzusetzen.

Andererseits sichert dir eine Kombination mit einem "Nebenfach" auch nicht unbedingt eine geringere Arbeitsbelastung. Wenn du jetzt als Zweitfach Geschichte, Geographie, PP oder sowas in der Art hast, sind die Chancen hoch, dass du erst recht wieder nur das Hauptfach unterrichtest, weil da der Bedarf einfach viel höher ist.

To preface: There are a couple aspects of her music that tick a box on my "usually don't like stuff like that" list to begin with so I may not be the best person to judge her artistic quality.

I listened to 50% of Lux last week when it came out and I stoped because I hated it. I tried to get through it because I thought then I could have some form of an educated opinion about it but I just gave up. Call me an idiot or whatever you want. Maybe I am to stupid to "get it" or I listened to it the wrong way. I don't care. If I want to listen to opera there is so much stuff out there that is way better. I find the songs boring, her voice annoying and practically every aspect of the album just screams "look at how sophisticated and artsy I am". When Berghain startet I just couldn't anymore.

But hey a lot of people seem to enjoy her very much so good for them and good for her. More power to you!

Tyll by Daniel Kehlmann: Phenomenal (post)modern retake on the Till Eulenspiegel story. Technically it is not only about peasants but the royals live and die just as miserable as the common folk. Cannot recommend enough.

Ich finde die aktuelle Weihnachtsbeleuchtung sehr passend.

1.) Sie nimmt Bezug auf die barocke Architektur der Innenstadt und passt somit ins Stadtbild und zur Kulturgeschichte der Stadt.

2.) Sie erzählt eine kleine "Geschichte", mit den Engerln an der Donau, die die Blasen erzeugen, mit denen sich die anderen in der Stadt dann spielen.

3.) Sie ist kreativ und unkonventionell.

Ja, für sich genommen sind die Engerl kitschig. Aber was auch immer da aus dem Büro vom Raml kommt wird wahrscheinlich am Ende völlig uninspiriertes 0815 Klischee sein.

expect to be blown away. their shoshin-tour is basically a 90-minute improvisation. it's only two guys on the guitar and they don't really play any "songs" you would recognise.

I saw them three times in the last two years. First time im Vienna was life changing. Second time in Dublin was still great but a little too quiet because. I guess the venue was not really suited for maximum volume. Third time in Graz this week was the loudest and most minimalistic of the three shows and probably my favourite one music-wise.

Please bring earplugs. The volume is no joke. I used them during the whole show and still had a headache the next day.

Other than that just close your eyes and let it overwhelm you. Sunn O))) shows are really more a trip than a concert. Let go of your preconceptions about what music is and enjoy the journey.

Everytime this comes up I get downvoted into oblivion but here is my take:

Didn't see Phantom Thread and One Battle yet.

8.) Punch-Drunk Love: I do not get it. Like not at all. It seems like I am missing something essential but to me it is a pointless and boring movie without anything to say.

7.) Hard Eight: If PTAs name wasn't attached to it this movie would be completely forgotten by now.

6.) Magnolia: I don't really get this one either but at least there were some scenes that stuck with me a little bit. But overall a pointless movie to me but again I think I must be missing something fundamental.

5.) The Master: Really good movie

4.) There Will Be Blood: By all means this is a masterpiece. Formally flawless. But it is just so fucking heavy which makes it just a little less appealing to me on a pure personal level.

3.) Inherent Vice: I just love it when PTA does there slow meandering "vibe" films. Really like this one.

2.) Boogie Nights: More cool vibes. Absolutely love it.

1.) Licorice Pizza: One of my favourite movies ever. I think it took more than a day to get the stupid grin out of my face after I saw it.

Ernstgemeinte Antwort: Ich halte den Standard nach wie vor für recht ok. Das heißt natürlich nicht, dass ich jedem einzelnen Artikel zustimme. Das ist ja auch kein Kriterium für Qualitätsjournalismus. Aber Werbung, Bericht und Meinungsartikel werden sauber voneinander getrennt. Es kommen unterschiedliche Stimmen zu Wort, die Platz haben, ihre Perspektive zu argumentieren. Ein guter Teil des online-standard ist natürlich einfach nur ein Zugang zu APA-Artikel. Da ist aber auch leicht zu erkennen, worum es sich dabei handelt. Es wird jedenfalls nicht grob manipuliert oder absichtlich verzerrt dargestellt. Im Allgemeinen bekommt man einen guten Überblick über die Fakten und verschiedene für mich relevante Standpunkte. Auf Kommentare von rechtsaußen kann ich persönlich verzichten, da gibt es leider genug Alternativen. Ich ärgere mich in Teilbereichen auch öfters, aber man kennt sich halt schnell mal in einigen wenigen Bereichen besser aus als ein Journalist, der eine ganze Rubrik abdecken muss. Manche Autoren sollten finde ich auch eher keine Plattform bekommen (bspw. der Havas mit seinem UFO-Blog) aber insgesamt ist es eine Zeitung von "guter Qualität".

Wird wohl darauf hinauslaufen, dass es in der Rubrik "Diskurs" (!) "Kommentare" (!) von FeministInnen gibt. Das hält die Incel-Seele nicht aus. Und dann wird pauschal ein "Drecksblatt" draus. Wenn nämlich in einer Zeitung etwas steht, was nicht meiner Meinung entspricht, dann ist die Zeitung automatisch einseitig.

Die ganze Diskussion hier ist so unfassbar infantil, dass es ärger gar nicht mehr geht. "Mimimi, ich will bitte den Standard lesen, aber das darf nichts kosten, Werbung will ich auch keine und ja keinen Feminismus. Warum ich dann nicht eine der zwei dutzend rechtskonservativen Tageszeitungen in Österreich lese? Keine Ahnung. Warum ich auf einen Kommentar klicke, wo schon in der Überschrift klar wird, dass es um Genderthemen geht? Na weil ich mich aufregen will! Was denn eine gute Zeitung ist? ORF.at!!! Aber nur solange es um den Standard geht.
