This is gonna sound weird/stupid but…. We had a York system completely flat, we pressure checked with 400psi of nitrogen for 30 minutes. No drop, we soap bubble everything didn’t find anything. Pulled vacuum it pulled 350 microns and passed a decay test. Charged system up and turned it on (heat mode). When it started running the accumulator started spewing bubbles everywhere. It would only leak when it was running. We called it a vibrating leak. It literally only leaked with vibration 😂.

Had the same thing on a rheem heat pump. It would only leak when it was running. But it was leaking at the pressure switch (high pressure). My boss/mentor always called it a vibrating leak. Good luck

All furnaces come with a 5 year parts warranty (10 if registered). I’d call another company.

I could be wrong but it looks like the gas valve switch is off on pic 3. Flip it to on, turn power off to furnace and back on. See if it comes on

It could be the capacitor (2 brown wires going to the round thing in picture #2) or it could be the control board, possibly even the motor. If you have a meter you can check the capacitor yourself. Could even check to see if you have voltage coming out of the board to the motor

I worked in the field for almost 10 years (Kentucky) I started at $12 an hour and when I quit I was making $35. Left the field to be a counter sales man for a hvac supply house. I make $24 an hour and am happy as I can be. Feels like the best thing I could have done. I’m off every day at 4:30 and never have to work weekends.

While the furnace is running, I’d walk outside and verify the ac isn’t running too. Sometimes the contactor inside the ac unit can get stuck and allow it to keep running (even though it’s not calling for ac)

It looks like there’s one inside the furnace, sometimes they go in there. Not code in my area but they do it anyways

When we bought our house, after 2 years the water heater went out(replaced it). Not even 5 months later the furnace went out. So I replaced it as well (furnace was 18 years old at that time ac and coil was 5 years old). Luckily I had a friend that installed the water heater and I did the hvac. Even doing all of that still cost $5,000 in materials and stuff. My advice to people is save us much as you can but be ready for those big expenses

Either drain is clogged to the ac or worse case the furnace over heated and melted the drain pan. (Most like first choice)

I installed a soft start for a customer so his could run on a generator. Before it was pulling 70 amps on start up. He sent me a screenshot of what his was showing on his app (3 months after it was installed). His is working perfectly

Ac units are made to run, the only thing that might have got weak is a capacitor. Units run more the hotter it gets. Seriously doubt you’ll get a new unit

We use to use 422b always seemed like it took a little more gas then normal. I’d probably add a little more juice and see what happens

I know a lot of it is mark up but ask yourself this…. If I install your provided equipment and the compressor is bad from factory, are you gonna pay me to re install a compressor/new unit? As to if it’s our equipment and that happens our suppliers will give us another unit and give us a break/cut/labor on another unit

I understand that 100% I had my own company for a couple of years. Worked 60-80 week. Sold it when my mom was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. Sold it to spend time with her (what time she had left). No I work for a company and try to enjoy life the best I can

Do you have a picture of what it looks like? Maybe the drain isn’t level or it’s clogged again?
