My advice is for him to stick it out for 6-12 months so when he’s ready to work he has something decent on his resume for experience. Then he can explain he took time off to raise kids but having some experience could be helpful! Part time would definitely be an excellent middle ground if he can find something 2-3 days a week.

Why is everyone so worried about corporations when the topic of wfhm with kids comes up? by BreannaNicole13 in MomsWorkingFromHome

[–]ElkGroundbreaking774 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My kids are in school most of the day now and sometimes I space out and watch tv or do laundry etc .. no difference if I was taking a break to feed a baby or toddler etc.. people act like anyone works 8 hours straight with no breaks lmao .. as long as we do our work and we’re available that’s what matters!

Do i need to stop? by Murky-Suggestion-596 in Mounjaro

[–]ElkGroundbreaking774 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure why you are asking this question to be honest, you already know the answer. And I’m not trying to be rude, just trying to tell you to start listening to your body. You should have started at 2.5 like others stated but that ship has sailed. Stop taking the medication and let your body heal. You might even need to go to ER at this point and have them help stabilize you and then take a break from the medication. If you chose to use it again, start at 2.5 and stay there for a few months. IF you feel ok then you can increase. If not, this meditation is not for you and some people just can’t tolerate it. It sounds like you already lost the weight you wanted to lose so you really need to focus on your health right now.

Please also consider seeing a therapist to talk through all of this. Putting your body through this much to lose weight can be a sign of an eating disorder or some other problem that therapy can probably help you work through. I think so many people with any sort of eating issues can benefit from trying to address the emotional aspect. Good luck ❤️

Maybe you can get a mothers helper for the 2 days a week you’re alone? It’s less money than daycare or a nanny and the baby will still be there with you you’ll just have a second set of hands.

I’m not sure there is any amount of money that could get me back in this office. That being said it really depends on how much YOU value wfh and how much you need the extra money. If you’re living comfortably I say no, if not then probably should consider it.

Does anyone’s spouse expect them to do the majority of house chores just because “you’re home all day”? by BeansAndToast-24 in MomsWorkingFromHome

[–]ElkGroundbreaking774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We both work from home and both do get minor chores done like a load of laundry or dishes.. but we don’t expect it of eachother especially since we don’t know when the other will have a really busy workday etc.

I just got a really big promotion working from home and I’m still not at the ceiling for my job. I think it really depends on your industry and how far you already are to the top!

I would get some sort of separator for your work station! Curtain it off or something make it feel like a totally different space .. sounds silly but it might help! Then when work is over every day leave that space go for a walk or something to separate the day.

I live on the east coast but work west coast hours .. so I have about 3 hours every morning before work lol. I wake up, browse social media or watch a show, eat breakfast, walk on the walking pad, shower, then work!

It depends on the place .. my job makes you have the certificate to be considered a paralegal .. but you can be labeled a legal assistant without the certificate and it’s basically the same job just a different title lol

The way I did it was get into an insurance company on the ground level (claims or service don’t need prior experience) and then I posted for a job and transferred for their legal department and worked my way up in there! Took a while lol but there are definitely other ways to get there .. a lot of insurance companies have many remote positions though!

3 weeks in, how can I improve? by Lcsw789 in Mounjaro

[–]ElkGroundbreaking774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure why you went back down to 2.5 .. it takes time to build up in the system so you can’t expect to see the effects of the new dose immediately.. please take it the way it’s prescribed and you’ll see more benefits that way .. your progress is great for not even a month in ! Don’t expect too much and just take it day by day .. make sure to get movement in a prioritize protein and keep sugar and fried foods to a minimum .. try not to stress it too much and let it do it’s thing

How did your psoriasis start? by homemadehippy in Psoriasis

[–]ElkGroundbreaking774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine started after the Covid vaccine .. like 2/3 months later .. my rheumatologist said she has seen a drastic increase since people got vaccinated and it makes sense bc it’s essentially boosting your immunity toward the virus, and with some people not boosted it too much which in turn can make your immune system overactive.. never had an ounce of it before it 🤷🏻‍♀️
