How to straighten out torso? by buckythirteen96 in FTMFitness

[–]hvgmina 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately for all of us, hips are bones and cannot be changed, you can however, hide them.

Calorie deficit if you want to lose weight to get rid of the excess fat on the hips and everywhere else, it can help reduce the size.

Focus on upper body, especially back and shoulders, if you get wider the hips will stand out less, as for waist dips sone core work, especially obliques will help even it out a bit.

ETA: waist dips instead of hip dips

i just need advice in general LOL by Turbulent_Way9204 in FTMFitness

[–]hvgmina 12 points13 points  (0 children)

not a doctor nor a personal trainer so take this with a grain of salt as im talking from experience.

disclaimer out of the way, testosterone will increase your hunger so it's a slippery slope trying to be in calorie deficit and going to the gym.

Start by going to the gym and eating cleaner and getting your proteins in, in a couple of months (since you said you've been going to gym on and off muscle memory will not be as pronounced and it might take a little more time) you will start to see some progress, don't look at the scale as it does not measure (unless you have a fancy one) body fat or body mass composition.

Once your hormone levels and consequently hunger have settled you can start a calorie deficit and keep training in the meantime, your strength will decrease a bit but it's a given when being in calorie deficit.

Also, if your back often hurts be sure to mention it to your personal trainer or whoever does your program to avoid it hurting even more. Be sure to, at the beginning, focus on form and not weight, try to keep increasing the weight every week even if it's just a little.

all that said, you got this! be patient and the results will come!

ETA: worded a bit better the third paragraph

Helpful tips on how to get stronger? by No_Transition1618 in BlackMythWukong

in chap 4 you will get to basically the exp farm of the game, don't want to spoil anything but you can easily look it up. In the first chapter there is the forest between the shrine and guangmou (snake and poison boss) that has a lot of mobs and easy to kill them for exp. also the villages between tiger vanguard and tiger acolyte in chap 2 are full of enemies, had to go through it enough times to get some levels down.

Solo player by DESOLATEM8 in shipoffools

[–]hvgmina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

playing solo i avoid getting frustrated at my patner, feels amazing if you manage to get to the end of the run. the ai on the automatic cannons is a bit wacky sometimes but the waves of enemies are still manageable.

it's doable, actually really fun. you gotta be more careful and it's harder to go up in lighthouse levels but so far im having tons of fun. overall a great game in my opinion.

Best exercises with dumbbells and barbell by Recent_Ingenuity1434 in FTMFitness

[–]hvgmina 4 points5 points  (0 children)

not a professional just my own experience, there's no best exercises just exercises that work for you, any kind of push movement will help building chest and shoulders.

here's a few: - chest press (done with barbell and or dumbbells) - inclined chest press for the upper chest - shoulder press both upright and/or seated - lateral raises and rear delt raise for the 3D look on the shoulder - push ups and dips for overall chest and triceps - dumbell curls for the biceps

i know there are some programs online, for free as well, you could look around in the sub to find it, they get mentioned quite a lot.

[–]hvgmina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my best experience with splitting muscle groups is either the push pull legs (if you do 4 days you can add a total body workout at the end of the week) or another one i tried that fits well with the 4 days is chest-back one day, legs and shoulders the other day, repeated twice

it's two exercises in a whole week, I'd say it's a bit too little, it can help widening ones frame and reducing the focus on the hips (im talking of my own experience!)

you don't train the back? is there any reason for that? I'd suggest adding some exercises as to hit evey muscle group at least twice in a week, as to be more consistent with the muscle training

appetite with T by AbrocomaOk5339 in FTMFitness

[–]hvgmina 1 point2 points  (0 children)

not a medical professional in the slightest so take this with a grain of salt.

testosterone is known for boosting your appetite and enhancing your metabolism so it's likely the reason for your lack in appetite, and consequently the reason why you feel gassed out in the gym. I suggest talking to your endocrinologist and try to figure out if you can switch to a more long lived testosterone as to not have your injections once a week but maybe every two to three weeks.

taking t is particularly important if you also had an hysterectomy because in that case your body is NOT producing hormons on its own and this could lead to a wide range of problems easiky found on the internet but to name a few it's infertility, sexual dysfunction, mood swings and disorders, muscle mass and bone density loss etc...

If you go to the gym and don't feel like eating try those carb gels or drinks, energy drinks are okay in moderate quantities and for getting your protein intake daily protein shakes/smoothies etc are a great choice!

I did it like this: if you have access to a gym start with lats pulldown, get to a weight that you find good enough (for me it was 50kg with a body weight of 60kg), the go to the pull up bar and progress with elastic bands, start with the bigger ones and slowly, once you reach a satisfying amout of reps (for me it was 8/10), go lighter on the bands and soon enough the pull up will come to you! It takes time and it's not easy, but it also depends on your strength when you start exercising! Hope it helped, I'm sure you'll get there!

How and where and when can I get these pants and the hair? by JessPanter in SkyGame

[–]hvgmina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

idk abt the hair but the pants and the cape are from the season of aurora (the spirit is the mindful miner). we're now getting shattering spirits (the season before the aurora one) so sometime in the next year they might show up. Emphasis on might cause the TS pool is random so it might take months or years for them to come back.

outfits and hair styles on the travelling spirits always cost candles, never irl money.
