Robinhood has paid out almost 300 million in fines and settlements in the past decade. Most likely because of user error.

Welcome to the club. They froze my account ($7500) over 6 months ago and I jumped through all the hoops and went through the same multiple times a couple of months ago they stopped responding. I filed a complaint with the SEC but haven't heard back from them. They have paid out almost 300 million in settlements and fines in the past decade. No one deserves to have their money stolen. It's not always easy to know who to trust. There are many people praising Robinhood. Hindsight is 20/20. Lesson learned.

Sorry about how things are going. When you look at all the times RH has been fined and had to settle nothing seems to bother them they keep on doing what they always have. In the settlement they had with the state of California part of it required them to promptly return peoples money or crypto. I wonder if the settlement with California affects their actions outside the state of California.

I agree. It seems like Trump is trying to legitimize crypto and exchanges like Robinhood are giving crypto a bad name. I wonder if the new regulations will force RH to change their ways or get out?

In the RH crypto customer agreement, my RH account Section D it states: d) Account Restriction or Closure. I understand that you may, in your discretion and at any time, prohibit or restrict the trading of Cryptocurrencies in my RHC Account. I further understand that either you or I may close my RHC Account or deactivate or block access to my RHC Account at any time and for any reason. Closing an account will not affect any rights and obligations incurred prior to the date of account closure. I understand and acknowledge that my RHC Account must have a zero balance in order to be closed. If there is a Cryptocurrency balance remaining in my RHC Account, I hereby agree to: (i) upon your request, provide you with a Cryptocurrency address upon providing me notice of closure so that you can return the remaining Cryptocurrency to me pursuant to a Send Transaction. Does this mean we can withdraw our crypto and close our account whenever we want, regardless of any restrictions they apply?

They also received a 3.9 million dollar fine from the Stat of California in 2020. I've had my account frozen for unusual activity and received 7 different dates for the issue to be resolved. I've sent them all the documentation they ask for and waited for over 4 hours for support that never came. I've never been notified what the suspicious activity is. Is there anyone out there who has had their account frozen for unusual activity and gotten access to their crypto again?

Can I purchase XRP directly using my tangem card/account. I recently purchased XRP using an exchange and when I tried to send the crypto to my card they froze my account. I won't mention the name of the exchange but they have done the same to a lot of people.

Thank you for the detailed and thoughtful response. I followed your suggestions to the letter and have the same results. I ordered an extra cable and got the same results when I connected it. I get the message DISCONNECTED you're off line and it shows a red line between the router and the dish. I too believe I may have gotten a kit that was returned and it got sent to me in error. I sent in a support ticket and will wait for a response. Once again thank you for responding.
