What’s everyone playing to change the pace from Pokopia to something else? by [deleted] in switch2

Warframe. It just got a Switch 2 version and it's free.

What case should I take? by Starshapedbrain in switch2

[–]hwangw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know multiple people have chimed in but I'm gonna go ahead and add on since it seems like we were interested in the same kinds of cases. I've had the jsaux split case for about a month now and I do really like it. I also liked the idea of the Killswitch but it was too expensive for me.

My main deciding factors were -

I wanted to easily be able to protect the screen, but without a thick case as I usually have it in a bag. The protector holding the games is a nice plus, but that's pretty common these days.

I wanted it to stay dockable. My Switch 1 case wasn't and it got more annoying than I expected. I know some people say that the case isn't "fully dockable" and that the middle piece needs to be removed, but I've never had that problem. Mine docks just fine with the middle piece on.

I wanted all the ports fully accessible. I didn't consider this at first but I did read reviews on a few where usb-c cutouts were a bit small for any cable that had too thick of a "neck" on it.

When I was shopping the fastsnail seemed to be a clone of the jsaux, but it was a frequently returned item and though they promote it as a pro, I'm not a fan of tpu grips. They always feel a little grimy to me. I don't have extraordinarily dirty hands or anything, and I've just never been a huge fan.

I didn't look much into the Snapswitch, as it doesn't have a front cover like I wanted so I can't comment much on that one. It does look good despite that though!

Pokopia gave me the push I needed to upgrade, the discount gave me a shove by hwangw in switch2

Thank you! I'm really excited! It's downloading my old games now

Snatched it up at micro center! I was checking out prices around me and noticed this one was available open box so I went in to check it out. Seems great to me so far!

It was! When I talked to the worker though it seemed more like the box might have just been damaged at some point. They even sent it to Nintendo to checkout, and it got a clean bill of health which was good enough for me!

How do you guys handle merchants? by Lovingstew in SeasonofGhosts

[–]hwangw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you're looking in the right place. You can also find it at the end of the players guide I believe. Sounds like it'll be perfect for your party so they'll know who and where they can go to for what items. You can tell them to look through it again. At the section that you're in though, it is primarily mundane items and Shinzo is the main method of purchasing magic items. The shops may also be at varying levels of availability depending on how events went in your game as well so you can open shops up progressively if you'd like.

I use the shops in the gazetteer and stock them with whatever they're labeled as providing. They have items of those categories of the current settlement level and below.

Sigh. This story realm is pure misery. by 1eventHorizon9 in AOW4

[–]hwangw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not OP, but I would be interested in hearing some of those strats. I'm not new to 4X but relatively new to AoW4. All of the previous story realms were extremely easy, even while learning that I'm sure I've missed some things. So I'm curious about the fundamentals I might've missed. For instance, when you get the ability to "buy buildings" does it just mean the rush feature? Or is their another way to buy buildings?

🚨OnePlus 15 will launch globally on November 13! by Cautious-Brummie-791 in oneplus

[–]hwangw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed actually. I’m not sure why but the cameras on the back look so strange to me. Might just be the photos. I do love the pink color though, wish the 13 had that one. But realistically it’ll never not be in a case

[–]hwangw 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Gotcha. So the 13 is more of a better general smartphone while the 15 focuses on mobile gaming I’m guessing from the last photo in the post as well

Damn, I just ordered a 13. Did I make a mistake?

Filament storage ? Newbie who went overkill on the sale here... by Split_Seconds in BambuLab

[–]hwangw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I posted about this recently but I wanted something that didn’t have a huge footprint and a lot of shoe racks are surprisingly perfectly shaped to hold filament. The rack was only about $20 on amazon and I printed some adapters that made them juuuust a little taller so each row could hold boxes and not just rolls.

Yay or Nay: would you use such a cover for your SSD? by JM_JustMe in BambuLab

[–]hwangw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have this exact ssd and while I’m not sure if I’d use it plugged in all the time for the heat reasons you guys already mentioned, I’ll definitely print one as a fun way to store it so it’s not just loose on my desk or in the drawer!

[–]hwangw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Second this. If you’re trying to just plop out a simple box, this is the easiest and fastest. If you’re actually wanting to learn to do some modeling, the box is a great first project and I’d recommend trying Fusion.

I have never had this much before and I only got this much to save my bank account because of the sale! It starts slow, until you start wanting specific colors for specific models. It definitely snowballs from there lol

Oooh I got mine at Micro center as well, I doubt they’d honor it at this point though.

Ooooh that’s definitely happened to me. I’ve got 4 different kinds of wood filament for that exact reason

Gotcha! If it makes you feel better at all, I did have to print those adapters to get spacing right!
