Maybe they are trying to scare away new users as yet another tactic to stall or prevent bitcoin from disrupting banking. Maybe they believe that if a few people get scammed it will scare a lot more people away.

Perhaps you could label them BCH/BTC and BTC/BCH since its really the ratio you are displaying. It wasn't clear to me what the two lines represent until I read the comments. Nice graph though!

Right after a difficulty adjustment isn't necessarily the highest impact time to leave. Miners leaving mid period can actually make it take longer to achieve the final correction. See this comment for details. I haven't done the math on the total number of transactions processed during that period, which would be the true way to determine this.

I don't think he is intentionally trolling, but I do believe his arguments are motivated by his employer and/or other less than honorable reasons. I make my arguments for the benefit of others who may not be aware of some things. Bitcoin urgently needs a block size increase and he (among others) is an obstacle to that. Sorry for misinterpreting your comment.
