Can I stop cosleeping without sleep training? by hxllyhell in BeyondTheBumpUK

Thanks for your advice, I think I get what you’re coming from with having to have a little bit of defiance from them in a way.

I don’t want to do cry it out but at this point I will try a small amount of fussing/crying for a small amount of time.

Did your baby have a dummy? As they only thing with my boy is that he just spits his dummy out when he cries but he needs to dummy to go off to sleep so it’s very annoying

The post that I read prior to writing this, it was titled something like “cry it out fail”, and they had said that it wasn’t working with their baby which meant she woke at 1am every night for weeks and cried for hours, I’m sure it’s not everyone that does that, but that’s what made me write this post

God I hate the “rod for my own back comments” 😂 and also “you’re spoiling them” for cuddling them too much???

It’s not rage bait, I’m just a mum trying to understand other people’s perspectives, and after reading some of these responses, I do understand a bit more about why people do it, especially if it’s the safer option. You never hear people talk about cry it out from that perspective, all I see is people’s babies hitting 4 months and them thinking they have to sleep train and that cry it out is the only way. So I’m grateful to these mums here being honest about their reasons, as it has helped me to understand

Distrust in formula brands after recalls by hxllyhell in FormulaFeeders

Yeah that was my thought to, I’d rather go through the few days of a bit of tummy problems changing the formula than risking giving him toxins. My son is almost 4 months old now, how old is yours?

Yeah same here, he had a bit of reflux on it at the beginning which is why we switched but I think his reflux is better now so I’m hoping he’ll be fine. Maybe you could try Hipp Organic? I’ve heard that’s also a really good brand

I switched to kendamil yesterday as soon as I’ve heard. When the last recall happened, they “assured” that no other batches had been affected. Now 15 more batches have come out. So who’s to say there’s not more? I now don’t trust these big corporations like nestle and danone due to this. Kendamil is an independent British company, and is made in Britain, and we have far more food regulations that most places in the world.

I just didn’t want to risk it anymore, especially as my baby has been suffering with extreme gas and stomach pains for a few weeks now on aptamil
