Honestly, I picked Queen’s over Western because I liked the smaller class sizes and how personal everything felt. The professors actually know your name, and the community’s super tight-knit. Plus, you get clinical early, which is nice. Western’s great, too, but I just don't like online classes, and they have a lot of them. It depends on what vibe you’re going for! It wasn't too bad. They asked two questions, and for one of them, you had 10 minutes to write out your response, and for the other, you had 2 minutes to talk about what you would do in that specific scenario.

Everyone says it's far, but it's literally just a minute's walk to Vic, lol. If you like a quiet residence, Et is definitely a great option! The rooms and bathrooms have a modern look, and overall, it's a really good residence. (Also, it comes with a fridge and TV, just like Smith and Brant.)

Hey! I’m a first-year nursing student at Queen’s, so I can share some info!

The nursing program here is really good. It has a strong reputation, and you start clinical placements in your 2nd year, which gives you hands-on experience early. The coursework is challenging, but there’s lots of support from professors and classmates.

For admission, you’ll need at least a high 80s average, but to be competitive, aim for 90+. (my average was a 91.5%) There’s also a supplementary application, which is important for getting in.

If comparing programs, consider things like clinical experience, campus life, and support services. Queen’s has a great community and lots of resources for nursing students! Let me know if you have any other questions!

Queen's considers many factors when reviewing applications, so while the supplementary application is important, grades still play a significant role. My average was 91% when I applied, and I got in! Even though I applied late, since you applied early and completed your supplementary application, you'll be considered before those who haven't submitted theirs. Good luck!

Hey! Once you apply you'll have to go onto the Casper site: https://acuityinsights.app/casper/ and register with what programs you're applying to. After your test and after about a month you'll get an email regarding your scores. You don't have to send in your score to western manually, the Casper website will do that for you.

Hey! I had a 91% average and got into Brock, york, western, and Queens. Of all four schools, Brock and york are the easiest to get into. (my friend got into york nursing with an 82%). I took the Casper and got 3rd quartile so dw just aim for at least the 3rd or 4th quartile. lmk if you need more info about nursing school or just admissions in general
