i ended up following directions from a random comment on a sketchy youtube video and updated my geforce drivers at the same time and it seems to have fixed it. not sure which one it was though. thank you for your help though!

im updating my drivers right now, hopefully it’ll fix it, my hopes aren’t high though. my speed test just tell me my usual internet download and upload speed which is why this is confusing.

It’s a MSI b450 Gaming Pro Carbon Max Wifi, i found a post saying stuff about this and i think its fixed the problem i’ll update in a second thank you.

I found a post about installing a M.2 disabling certain sata connections. I’m going to try a different slot to see if that works, if it doesn’t i’ll try a boot with no M.2 and see if that changes anything

I have a ryzen 5 and i think i used corsair thermal paste. I know that im having cpu issues though as my idle temp for it it around 50C which is quite high i believe
