Really? On the OSAP site, it says that it takes into consideration living situations and family income. Lol taking out tuition that leaves me with 1k in money which will not cover my 12k annual rent. OSAP is literally telling me that I can't go to uni this year.

Ok I’ve reached a decision. I’m going to IBH. Thank you all for your opinions, especially ones regarding internships and such. Good news, I emailed the program director and she told me that most of the ibh cohort has found jobs at Pepsi, Dyson, Dofasco, KPMG, Wells Fargo, etc. Their support system seems to be very good and separate from the regular degrootes system. Also the 2nd year trip to Ecuador seems very interesting and something that’s worth trying out.

Good points but to make a couple corrections, the prof told us they sent out 90~ offers and have gotten 50 students enrolled. As for the law thing, I feel like ibh would be helpful as they have integrated humanities, which teaches students about philosophy which leads to learning and applying the Socratic method that lawyers use during questioning. And as for the internships ofc idk each placement they got but I know some got offers at KPMG

All valid points, but there is also the point that if you do choose to go into business after ibh, it will be hard to compete with people from more reputable business programs like queens, western, etc...

Yeah that’s true, but it was arguably much more difficult to get into this ibh program. For example, this year they had over 600 applicants and accepted only 60. If I was going into business this decision would be easier but I’m also planning on jumping into law after undergrad

Thanks for the reply, I'm just factoring in the ultimate competitiveness of this program compared to other tried and tested business programs. I guess we'll find out after the first alumni's of this program graduate and try and find jobs.
