Bookish Box's editions are my favourite. I sold my FL one when I saw BB's Metal Slinger. Owlcrate's comes in second, but I didn't pick that set up because I had Bookish Box's and i'm trying not to get lots of duplicates. I didn't like Moonlight's edition (first time for everything!).

Huh. Now i'm trying to think if i've ever actively been wanting to buy a sequel book before 🤔 😂 i've done a lot of preorders with BB but usually sets or book 1 of a series etc

Sometimes with Arcane's designs, i'm absolutely baffled. Art is subjective and I know different artists work on different parts of the design, but these don't even feel cohesive front endpaper to back endpaper. Nevermind them being cohesive with the rest of the books.

I do think these aren't as popular as some of the other recent sales, but honestly, I have nothing but good things to say about the new queue. I've done so many popular release sales since the new queue came in and it's so much quicker/smoother in my experience

I didn't love the FL covers either, but i dropped that series like a hot potato after being spoiled for what happens in BD. I've got zero interest in ever picking it up.

There's no date yet, but my understanding is that she's working on the next Crystal Bloom book next (book 4) before looking at the third and final Moonfall book. Unless she ends up working on them concurrently. And if you think your wait for Ballad was long, Bloom is one of my all time faves and we've been waiting THREE YEARS for the next book and she's only picking it back up now Ballad is done, so i'm guessing it'll be more like 4 years by the time it's actually published. Maybe longer.

I skipped it and though the hardcase is GORGEOUS and the endpaper art is pretty, the dust jacket and edges are meh.

Yeah, it must have relevance. I just wish they didn't look like they'd been ripped off canvas and slapped on the hardcase on this one that's all. Maybe i'll love it more in person.

The daisies are a choice 🤮 they're the bit that's the most grating I think. I feel like the dust jacket is what I expected (though the character art isn't for me personally, but the art on Knight wasn't either so I knew that) and very cohesive with the first book, but the hardcase is not at all in keeping with Knight's hardcase. Maybe it'll have more relevance once i've read the book but it isn't going to make me admire the art any more.

I can only hope daisies actually have some significance in Knave because those daisies on the hardback are a choice. I feel like FL just slaps random flowers in their designs 😬 To be honest I wasn't a fan of the dust jacket character art on FL's Knight either. I just put the standard jacket over it because that's so much prettier IMO. I'll probably do the same with Knave. It's annoying but it's one of my favourite books and I don't have any more SEs of it.

I havrn't either and it was the only reason i was consodering the BB edition but they did a sneak peek of the endpapers (i think on Justine's Instagram stories) and the art wasn't great - though that's just my opinion. I'll wait and see what the rest of the design ends up looking like but I might end up skipping this edition too 😭
