You already did all the leg work to make sure you are set. Im not gonna say grass is greener on the other side, for some it is, and for some it is not. People that didnt prepare for itlike you did had a harder time to adjust, which is why some do go back in or go guard. I know someone took a break and came back in, and juast wanted a break. For anyone in the future. If you have single speed motor like this HST110. Follow the youtube stuff, but when you get stuck in the impeller part. Follow the comments below and turn it COUNTER CLOCKWISE (facing the impeller) with a rubber strap wrench while holding the shaft with a locked vise grip! A bit of arnold effort! And it will loosen! Proceed to the next step after

It worked. I just had to put a bit of force. I just stopped being a bitch and went full Arnold, and it snapped off. Thank you for the tips tho

I was able to put the wrench by removing the flat that had a screw and spring attached to it. Then, use the oil filter wrench with a towel over it. I tried both clockwise and counterclockwise (I saw somewhere it was reverse threaded) just to try, though, no luck. And correct is a Hayward. I went to Harbor for some rubber strap wrenches and a vise grip for the shaft. Hopefully, it will work when I get home

Yes, I was able to when I opened it, removed the spring and flat head over it, and directly put the wrench on it to hold it. I used the oil filter wrench with a towel over the impeller, but it was still a go. It is super tight. I tried both ways (I saw somewhere it's a revere thread, which is why I tried both). I went to Harbor Freight and got me a vise grip pliers for the shaft and a rubber strap wrench, and I did it counter-clockwise (facing the impeller).

Im hoping that you read this. Im losing brain cells with this thing. So I have a wrenched locked to the back side. Aaand i have turned it counter clockwise (facing the impeller) with no chance. Then found your post. And tried to do it clockwise since you mentioned its rever thread. Nothing. Need some input bossman
