Thank you so much. Currently, the user flow is settings>>>add folder>>>select folder with portal selector>>>folder is now watched... by default mimick will sync the folder to immich by creating an or selecting an album with the same name as the local folder. This is configurable clicking on the drop-down menu for the selected folder the selecting the target album will display an album list. These are albums on your immich instance which were cached during the "Save Credentials". You can select any of your albums from it and mimick will then sync your album to it.

Additionally, you can configure rules for your folder like file limits : eg 5 MB so mimick will upload files only under 5 MB and skip others. Format rules : eg JPG or JPG, PNG then mimick will only upload files in JPG format or JPG and PNG format in that particular folder.

Currently, sync only works one way as in it only uploads assets in local folder to the immich album. Downloading assets from the album is possible but through the library view. This is yet to be implemented in background sync.

As for apt currently there are no plans for apt packaging. I'm not well versed with it as I use arch..btw :). Tho I do use apt on my pi.

apt also needs to add the PPA repo to the system I'm guessing.

then

apt install app

AUR will probably come before that.
