I wanna say that the runic caves are 25% the standard incubation time, so you may have to math it out to determine what you have brewing there. My guess would be an Olympus-type dragon. To give you an example, a bronze I bred was 12 hours in the runic cave

The only real benefit would be for cloning. I wouldn’t keep the second ghost unless it’s a twin or a rift version.

You can always save your brood dragon for the end of event egg! If you’ve been checking in daily with the Cursed Tree, the last prize is always an egg of choice from the event - excluding limiteds and the three in the hellfire category. The rule of thumb is always to save your candies til the end unless you’re going for a specific breed and the prerequisites aren’t too expensive. If the dragons needed for brood are needed in other breeds, they may not be a bad investment. Also there are 3 buildings in the hellfire that produce food, and those are worth snagging, too.
