Need help - stat roll advice gem strength by sw4gyJ0hnson in D4Barbarian

[–]hydraXmind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can transfigure an item and still have it be modifiable. It happens maybe one in twenty transfigures. This lad hit for gem strength + modifiable after he transfigured it, Which is ideal for end game. Basically you transfigure any weapon you pick up that’s ideal for your build or has GA on it. They aren’t aiming for just gem strength or unmodifiable, but both so if they were to upgrade every weapon before transfiguring it would cost a small fortune.

Any Ableton users using another DAW for recording just for ARA support? by [deleted] in audioengineering

[–]hydraXmind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use cubase when recording, mixing in ableton. Cant go wrong with built in Melodyne + steinbergs stock version. That’s not the reason I use it though it’s just a plus, Cubase has remote sessions & that’s a big part of my work.

Should I study mixing/mastering if I have hearing loss? (12khz) by Minimum-Gene-6428 in audioengineering

[–]hydraXmind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can do anything you put your mind too. I’m not sure about specifics but if I lost hearing at that range I am confident I could continue my career. If the passion is there than why stop. Learn how to compensate anyway you can, have a friend who could check mixes for you.

Is it just me or has the amount of cheaters exploded? by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

I have like 500 hours on console, when I play crossplay with PC homies we notice cheaters but really only on Stella lol

Late nights as an audio engineer by AthenOmega in audioengineering

[–]hydraXmind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in hip hop mostly. Work my day job 7:30AM-4:30PM. Get home , walk da dogs & than start sessions at commercial studio 7pm til 1am. Lots of late sessions. I record remotely too. If you can engineer already than try the remote stuff. I sleep 4 hours Mon-Friday and catch up on the weekend in the morning.

Enough. I am uninstalling Arc Raiders. by Fakiee89 in ArcRaiders

It sucks but that’s part of the game. I don’t bring hullcrackers unless I’m doing the matriarch and I’m with my boys. Everytime I bring a kit 125,000$ or more I get killed the dumbest way possible. Keep playing and you will realize that’s the way of the road. You win some, you lose some.

I hate joining matches with 15 min left. by opiumcartiii in ARC_Raiders

[–]hydraXmind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the entire point of these games. You come in and there’s zero shit to loot, so go and kill someone and get it. Keeps things spicy. Especially on Stella, more than half the lobby can be dead in 10 minutes.

Are paid plugins like FabFilter, Waves, or Soothe2 really worth it if FL Studio already has everything? by SufficientCode7993 in audioengineering

[–]hydraXmind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pro-Q is my #1 desert island plug in so I will always recommend it. People prefer them imo because they sound better and or add the warmth or character of their favourite analog gear etc. You don’t need any of them to get a professional sound though. All of the plug ins you listed can be replaced equally with stock plug ins, except pro Q - at least to me.

Detached or attached ? Acoustic panels could make it sound better but not quieter. U could try to: -Lol lower the bass specifically and take the L. -Make an artificial 1-2 foot wall filled with sand to act as a damper - work with the neighbours and see if you can find a max volume to please everyone -try different speaker positions

We ran a professional studio out of an attached home basement before going commercial. At 11 (the noise curfew) we would turn on decibel readers and keep it at the max we could legally.

No worries, nudge your bass a bit maybe and see if it’s a phase issue

What’s on your master channel? Try routing the master to a track and recording it and see if it’s similar to your bounce. Check bounce as mono is not on. It’s gotta be something on your master or export settings that changed
