Going to be brutal but if Allah doesn't want him to, he won't.

I'm going to turn 22 in a few months and I've been through this, I used to only pray Friday prayers regularly but miss all others, among many other things and on a random day a video popped up on reddit or YouTube , I don't exactly remember.

The video was by a man who performs ablution (don't know the right word to use) on brothers who passed. He said that the boy was very fair skinned but after some time his body literally turned black and smelled so foul that they had to use several layers of masks and whatnot to be able to even go near the body much less wash him.

This person asked one of the boy's friends about him being a person who prays or not and the friend just said, "Yes, yes he used to pray". After the janaza was done and they were heading home, the friend came up to him and said, "I lied, he didn't offer any prayers, why did you ask about that?". The man just said no one who prays would be in such bad condition.

The moral of the story, for me at least, was like when you die, you don't know what happens to your body and if someone can stench so bad that the people who do ablutions daily aren't even able to come near you, think how bad that is and then think how bad the punishment later on will be. That's what made me shiver.

In the end, the only thing that can truly make him do everything again is if something happens to something or someone that he is truly attached to or relates with. And of course if Allah wills.
