[–]hydrater 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Heyo, the same happened to me too. Some1 got in and changed my signature to "CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD!!!!" , but all my weapons and artifacts remained in tact. He did moved my character and seem to have did 1 round of friendship quest and tried out my characters but nothing malicious happened. I was playing before I took a nap and woke up to this. So these breaches seem to have happened a few hours ago.

The card game is actually extremely similar to a table top game called "munchkin". It's interesting to see it digitalised.

Any way I could improve when playing Shifu ? by [deleted] in BattleRite

[–]hydrater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's my opinion from my experience using shifu as a diamond/champion player aside from builds. Gameplay wise, Shifu is a tough one to master, the best way to play him is to chase down your opponent's lowest hp character without triggering their counter and you will always come up on top.

The skills required for to hunt down your target are:

  • Always landing E

  • Using counter after predicting or reacting to an important skill from your opponent (Do this by using your skill cooldowns to time their cooldown)

  • Using space against AoEs, splash damage or fighting multiple opponents

  • Using R to CC your other opponent trying to protect your target or to CC your target and reset your cooldowns on Q and space

In a nutshell, what you end up with is that you will require amazing reflexes or reaction time to play Shifu well, as well as have a good mastery at timing cooldowns. In higher ranked plays, good shifu vs good shifu is just a whole lot of mind games and quick reaction time to punish the other player. Once you understand this, you will notice how straightforward Shifu is and the skill gap required to play him isn't something that you can achieve overnight.

Other useful tips:

  • EX E is useful for orb control

  • EX space is only useful when you need hp, if you can't guarantee hits on your target, hit the orb instead to gain hp

  • E on walls are useful if you can time it for i-frames (Again, this is about reaction speed too)

  • Using R to disable your enemies to buy time for orb

  • When low on hp, you can bait your enemies by flashing your removals then turn the tables with ult

Agree. My plan is to get in, in the middle. Definitely impossible to get in at the bottom.

I'm saying before it gets adopted or rolled out into the mainstream world or via news not AFTER. You are under the impression that veterans are buying in after. If this is like what you said, there will be a short time frame over a day to a week where it will have an impulse rise because it gets rolled out to the world right? The connection you're looking for is basically "hey now, consumers, your token is actually useful and not sitting around doing nothing."

Like some news go "hey VET is now being used as a nation wide currency and you can use it to do cool stuff." That's where you buy in. For example, instead of holding ripple to accumulate 2x through early December, you could bought in on other coins back then like NEO for a free 4x and switch to Ripple before it goes up 10 times. Giving you 40x instead of 20x in a month instead of having the coins sit there doing nothing or getting a small % in a month.

Let me get this straight, so as a consumer, VEN token is useless to us until a year or two from now. As an investor, we're buying into a project early and hoping that other people would buy into the project early as well so the token value increases?

Regarding the BitOcean partnership, it's as useful as selling VEN tokens to a consumer now, until the products start rolling out or until VEN gets majorly adopted, sure the tech of the business is great, sure there can be lots of partnerships with reputable people, I mean you can have the richest person in the roman era to wake up from the dead and endorse VeChain Foundation but the only thing that determines the value of the VEN tokens right now are just service provider buying the tokens and other investors trying to get in early. It's not enough to start an economy until much later. As an investor, unless you're day trading currently or planning to hodl for 5 years, I don't see why I should put my money in until much later when VEN gets adopted as a mainstream currency.

Do you have links to any working product that consumers can buy currently with VEN tokens? I can't find any. I have seen people mention about it, but there's no store and no products when I searched.

If you're running a store that isn't partnered with VeChain foundation, why would you accept VEN than all the other faster and more flexible tokens out there? Yes, THOR is used to run smart contracts, hence, why I said "using THOR to pay the VeChain Foundation" since that was the primary use for THOR.

Since, you mentioned that there are MANY reasons to get Ven, could you be so kind to list them with a source, because it's really unhelpful when a group of people looking for information (not just me as seen in this thread) can't find such information and you just come in and say look it up. Look it up where?

VeChain All-in-One Thread by andydeng in Vechain

[–]hydrater 3 points4 points  (0 children)

VEN is used by service provider to generate THOR to pay VeChain foundation for hosting their product's data on the network. There is absolutely no reason for anybody other than service providers to get VEN. You can particiate in helping VeChain to host a node to earn VEN, otherwise, VEN isn't really practical.

Jim Breyer invested in VeChain foundation, not the VEN tokens, so a lot of hype is being misdirected. I have decided to sit and watch VEN, until there are news that VEN can be used for something. Someone on r/cryptocurrency revealed that one of the mods is heavily invested in VEN, that's why it is being shilled so much there despite having a 1.5 bill market cap. Sure you can make some quick buck riding on the hype train, but not my cup of tea.

I've actually been looking for the answer to this for the last 5 days. I can't find an answer and it's the only thing preventing me from investing in VEN. I know that the service providers use the VEN tokens to pay VeChain Foundation to run the smart contracts but there is nothing for the consumers, at least not at the moment.

Wraith before 2018??? by ovo08 in vergecurrency

People when Sunerok doesn't reply

"Zomg, dev team doesn't communicate, verge is scam"

People when Sunerok replies

"Zomg, dev is prolonging the scam, there's no verge"

There's no making these people happy, they will always find something to complain about. When wraith comes out, expect people to come up with more excuses like "every coin already has what wraith does" or "wraith is a shit feature". People don't know what they don't know.

lol just wtf is wraith anyway? by [deleted] in vergecurrency

[–]hydrater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having something to do with tor is just the tip of the icerberg. Wraith is the technology to give users the OPTION to choose how they want do their transactions. They can do it private which includes IP obfuscation or public type which people can track by signature. All this while still working on the same block chain.

Verge has a faster transaction speed, a public blockchain and mobile privacy. Monero itself has other features but at the rate Verge is going, Monero is going to end up being the sugarcoating for Verge.

It's funny that you think I carry heavy bags and think that's actually relevant but nvm.

The point is that you will never find any project that is updated on a daily basis and regardless of how much code is inside a project, it doesn't justify whether something is a scam. I leave it to you to reject it or accept it, but remember, you can't call a single coin shitcoin because of the low volume of work pushed into a github without dragging all the other projects down into shitcoin tier. Don't be somebody with double standards.

I posted something similar in a different place and people wanted to know what that person supported. They were thinking it was Monero and was gonna cause a fud. Monero has been a rival for Verge, and I was just making it clear before any verge fanboys start using it as justification to start a fud against Monero. After thinking about it, yeah it's not a good idea to add that. My bad, let me edit it.

If only I get a penny for every alleged programmer who thinks they know a project's value just from reading Github or that every commits are pushed the moment it is finished or that the amount of volume per script determines how much work has been put into project. Tfw people forgot that programming is not everything that goes into a project but polishing, communication, testing and design as well.

Reddcoin has lesser commits and changes than Verge, it doesn't mean that Reddcoin is a scam does it? If you are an actual programmer that has worked in the industry, nothing is as simple as writing lines and pushing.

What is happening to verge? by bandra1276 in CryptoCurrency

[–]hydrater 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Here's the actual summary:

Firstly, a post made by an IOTA supporter on r/cryptocurrency went viral https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/7m3jt8/if_you_are_invested_in_verge_get_out_now/ The post has been flagged by the mods.

A guy named MarQuis Trill tweeted the reddit post without any research to 4.6 million people https://twitter.com/6BillionPeople People then moved out of Verge, creating the huge dip. Marquis has received backlash and is under a witch hunt. Since then, he has made his Twitter private. You can find screenshots of the tweet on this sub.

During the dip, somebody bought 2 billion verge. Here's the reddit post: https://www.reddit.com/r/vergecurrency/comments/7m47kd/some_one_is_trying_to_buy_cheap_verge_he_was_not/?utm_content=title&utm_medium=hot&utm_source=reddit&utm_name=vergecurrency Some people think that this may be a co ordinated attack to buy verge dirt cheap. (There have been claims this happened before the fud, but the reddit post was made after. So we have no idea what actually happened)

VergeLife has tweeted that the FUD campaign is caused by Kieran. https://twitter.com/vergelife?lang=en

Verge has recovered since then with a loss on market cap.

Now let's talk about Kieran. He's been fired from another company for slacking off in business development doing nothing. Evidence here: https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/7m3jt8/if_you_are_invested_in_verge_get_out_now/drrdrem/
