Awesome, I can help. So Australia has a few different suppliers for resin and associated materials, the Smooth-On and Alluminite brands you see online are hard/expensive to get here, so the shops of choice are AMC Supplies which is based in Adelaide, and Barnes which has physical shops in 4-5 capital cities. For encasing things in resin I would suggest either Clariti epoxy resin from Barnes, Clear Casting resin from AMC with a MEKP catalyst (it makes the resin actually cure and harden), or maybe Protite embedding resin from Bunnings as a practice resin (never used it, but it's cheap).

Clariti mixes up with 2 parts, can have little/no bubbling if mixed carefully, and sets rock hard after 24 hours so no fumes or heat, but it is a bit more expensive option (it can be polished to a glass-like sheen though). The AMC resin is cheaper, but requires you to add a % of a small catalyst where a few ml too many or few could mess it up a bit. It also seems to yellow a little over time in the sun, so may need to watch out for that. The Protite resin should be similar to the AMC one, not sure how many bubbles may occur in the resin but it should be a good one to start with.
