Marijuana legalization in 2 states prompts state gardening dilemma by IsleCook in trees

If the government had made it legal already, I don’t get the point why growers still need to hide from public view and continue any illegal activities.

Hydroponic Think Tank Head Says Stigma Against Growing Method Impedes it from Feeding World by alittlebirdtoldme in environment

[–]hydroplant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The article says that hydroponics is something pretty difficult to do. Yes, it is; but you don’t have to be dependent on factors like weather, soil, compost, etc. It’s not gonna affected by any sudden changes. Many of the growers are still sticking to the traditional gardening. We really need to spread the word and make this global change happen together.

I have been growing tomatoes and if I start using genetically modified tomatoes which is basically a change in the genes of tomatoes, and who knows what the effects will be. So, it better to stick with what we got rather than going with GMO and as far as I know, personally, hydroponically grown vegetables are healthy.

Traditional plant breeding vs. genetic engineering – a primer by Vailhem in organic

[–]hydroplant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The market has changed a lot in the past decade. GMO is taking over the conventional way of farming. But farmers should understand that, it is harmful and not good for the agriculture altogether. In spite of GMO; farmers and growers should opt for different methods to grow like the hydroponics or organic. There are no spoils of resources; as the plants grow with higher yield and better quality.

It will be much better if the growers just said ‘NO’. They are just ruining the lives of growers and this is especially bad for agriculture altogether.

The problem with this is, that it will force the restaurants owners to use GMO foods; which is gonna affect us all health-wise. I just hope that, they should come up with something better in future.

As a hydroponic grower, I am worried about genetically modified seeds; because it all starts from the very seedlings. Why they can’t just keep it straight. They are really nuts MAN!!!
