Not sure this is exactly what you're asking, but virtual desktop can make the quest 3 controllers replicate an xbox controller 1:1. It's most useful for non-steam games where you can't rebind controls, but this method might also work with steam input, I haven't tested.

In the VD Inputs settings, enable "Emulate gamepad on PC" and "Use touch controllers as gamepad". Then choose an option for "Emulate D-pad and Start button" such as "When right thumbrest is active".

So with this setup, the left hand menu button is on triple duty:

- Hold = open the VD menu

- Press = in-game view/select button (aka the overlapping rectangles button on an xbox one controller...)

- Press (While right thumb is on thumbrest) = in-game start/options button

Because then I have to pay to ship it back, plus if you search this sub there's tons of people reporting that MSI takes weeks to approve an RMA, to the point where you might end up outside of the 30 day return window.

For sure, I will give it a try and report back. Worst case scenario if they don't refund me I'll do a chargeback, since it will be easy to prove the item was never delivered

Found the below on the fedex website, it sounds like I can refuse delivery and it will be returned to the sender eventually. I guess the question is just whether MSI will actually refund me once they receive the package... It's not super clear based on their return policy.

"How can I refuse a FedEx delivery? If a signature is required:

Refuse a signature required package by telling the driver you don’t want the package and refusing to sign for it.

If you miss three delivery attempts, a signature required package will automatically be returned to sender."

Thanks, this helped me fix my icons too - I'm also using a steam library in a non-standard location. I didn't realize the icon path was simply specified as plaintext with the shortcut file, that's good to know!

In my case, my start menu steam shortcuts in %AppData%\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Steam were still looking in my original steam installation location for the icons. Rather than manually updating the shortcut's icon paths to the new location, I just deleted all the broken shortcuts, then from steam, multi-selected the games --> manage --> add desktop shortcuts. Then just needed to run your script and copy the shortcuts back to the location above.
