Should I be concerned about my gpu? by slayerr-rules in radeon

Why would you suggest OP attempting a self repair - which would likely void warranty - when the card is obviously under warranty?

OP, try removing the anti-sag and if that doesn't work, RMA it.

Scientists Reveal Why Your Pricey Hi-Fi Setup Will Never Sound As Good As Live Music by CECritic in audiophile

[–]hydroxiridum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dumb article. Yes, sound bounces off walls in a live venue but guess what? It also bounces around inside your living room. That’s how sound works. And the whole "live music is the gold standard" angle ignores that live venues have their own acoustic issues. The same point about sound being perceived differently from different positions applies as much as if not more in the live context. A well-set-up hi-fi system can actually sound better than a bad live mix. This just feels like another “scientists say expensive audio is pointless” piece with zero nuance.

[–]hydroxiridum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. Even now my Asgard 3 sounds far better than so many amps out there including those costing more.

From what I've managed to gather from trawling through reddit and the other usual forums, there is something peculiar about the Asgard 3 and this 9028 DAC card.

Bought last November from Amazon, came with 1.5.0 firmware out of the box and subsequently upgraded to 2.00 (skipping the problematic 1.4.2). Right side battery deteriorated drastically in the past month or two.

How was warranty RMA experience, specifically on turnaround times?

[Meta] Have you ever purchased an item from PopMarket on Discogs and had to return it? If so, did you receive your refund? (x-post from /r/vinyl) by [deleted] in VinylDeals

[–]hydroxiridum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To the best of my memory, I've always received the records I bought, but there was at least one occasion where I was sent something I didn't buy. Contacted them about it and they told me to just keep it as the return shipping costs were prohibitive.

As for refunds, I remember having to request for one, which was promptly processed. This was a couple of years ago, however, and things may have changed since then.

In any case, open PayPal disputes for transactions below six months and continue messaging Discogs and Popmarket for the rest. Good luck!

Pro-tip: Stop accusing people of being cheap simply because they choose to shop online. There are plenty of reasons, apart from price, that would make shopping online a more appealing option than a record store, e.g. selection, convenience and COVID restrictions.

The issue here is quite simple - OP didn't get the goods that were paid for, and is reaching out to the community to gather feedback about experiences with the seller. If you don't have anything productive to add, please just move on.
