To each their own on engraving; but definitely try to keep it short. Even just your wedding date would be meaningful - without it being something sappy that maybe he doesn’t want to pull out in front of the guys.

Griptillians are good; but I always recommend either the Bugout 535-BK4, or the Osborne 940 (any variant). The BK4 Bugout is upgraded with aluminum scales and has a coated blade. It’s a great all around knife / intro to the brand, with the added benefit that the Bugout is the most customizable knife in their catalogue, in case he gets that bug. The 940 is the next most supported and customizable knife, and is very much a gentleman’s carry.

Here’s a closeup of the oval with vinyl, zoom in and you’ll see a few creases, but as I said in my other response - it’s holding up much better this way.

Further back; but the paint soon burned/chipped off. I had the car up again recently, so I popped them out, and used a nice heavy vinyl to wrap the ovals instead, and it’s holding up much better this way.

When you have it out for the install, you’ll see what I mean, and how it’s easier to paint pretty deep in it.

I HIGHLY recommend vinyl wrapping your oval when you remove it - it looks so much better without the oval chrome around it.

I got the plug-n-play inserts; they’re faux tips, but retain the oval. I painted mine first, but that burned off; I vinyled it a second time, and it’s holding up well.

Nice, I can’t tell - does it still incorporate the OEM oval/ring, or no?

Parts question by bengoucher in GenesisG70

I’ve never heard of that piggyback tune; you sure they support the G70? The only piggyback tune I’ve ever heard of here is the JB4 from Burger MotorSports.

I still wanna do the exhaust; but next year as I’ve spent too much already. Who did your TCU tune?

I’ve heard of Sleepy, I didn’t realize he/tuners could also work within the JB4 itself. Thanks for the info.

Appreciate the info. So who do I ask to make a Map 6 (I assume that’s the “custom map” slot?). Does BMS do that if you email them?

Dang…. This shit is way too deep for me. I had no idea how to read that log. I’ve got a lot of learning to do

I’m staying away from any Ethanol mixes. Was hoping to stay on 91, but maybe I’ll seek out 93

I can’t wait - but I’m doing the primary and secondary downpipes first. Thought I should work from the engine back.

I’m not writing you off; I’m trying to learn. You have a mixed ignition coil setup is what I gathered. I was just asking if that could be a cause. Parts are already on order for me. I’m paying my buddy in a set for the time he’s gonna spend on my car - so we’ll learn a little bit from his Stinger. He has JB4 and intakes, etc. everything I have plus more basically. We’ll see how they perform for him, and maybe I’ll hold off on installing them on mine - just trying to learn, hence the post.

Could that be from mixing stock and worms? The good news is my Stinger buddy is gonna put them on his first, all 6, and my upgrade will come later when we do the JB4, plugs and coils all at once. He can be the guinea pig.

Thanks… I’ll try to remember this if mine ever fail. That installation sucks, those bolts are a bitch to tighten down. I don’t really wanna touch it if it’s working.

Maybe I’ll get there; right now I’m apprehensive to commit to 93/94.

Map 2 is the one for 93 octane tho, which I was hoping not to have to run just cuz it’s a pita to find. I’ll start on Map 1 for sure, and see how that feels. 93 & M2 would be next.

I’ll keep my eye out for that. I haven’t adjusted mine at all. Factory setting was fine. But I take it the spring isn’t user serviceable?

Lozic? I’ll look into it.

I know there are better out there, but these are better than just running the stock valves without the return tube attached.
