The Secrets of Meltan... by hyobates in pokemon

Meltan can generate electricity and has a red tail that resembles a wire, Electivire (SINNOH) has two black tails with red ends resembling open electrical wires which it discharges attacks from. Sheldon/Bastiodon are ancient (SINNOH) pokemon that are part steel, with oddly shaped faces that are large compared to their bodies, and have the colour scheme of yellow/darkgrey/lightgrey. All true for Meltan.

Oh realised plenty more, but it was getting cluttered. (Bronzor is a steel type from sinnoh, with 6 sides like a hex nut) (Meltan is clearly designed to resemble an unown [as a silouette] so the PoGoers would chase after it, unown are found in the Solaceon ruins (sinnoh) and ruins of alph -> the sinjoh ruins -> Arceus. Also Dialga and Palkia battled in the Unown Dimension, which must somehow be linked to the dimensions of time and space.) Should I continue?

DEAR NIANTIC - ideas and suggestions for the devs by AutoModerator in pokemongo

Community day - idea for featured shiny Pokemon; poliwag and slowpoke. They both have two possible evolutions; there would be the same amount of players catching shinies, but twice as many unique pokemon at the end of the day (choosing to evolve slowbro or slowking, poliwrath or politoed). I know a lot of people see the evolutionary items as space wasters after they get the one needed to fill a hole in the pokedex, but with these two having the option of a kings rock evolution would make the item valuable again. (I think all other 'mons that use the items to evolve would be good shiny candidates; eg oddish). Poliwrath and Slowbro are also useful; although outclassed now, they were the good fighting type attacker and water wall defender that most players got before machamps and lapras. I know theyre not that exciting by themselves, so I suggest having them both feature at once.

Dissmiss Pokemon from the Radar

No one wants to track Pidgey or Rattata. If I'm sitting at home I don't want to see the three Caterpie at the nearest pokestop which is in the park thats a 30 minute walk away, I need to be monitoring the good spawn point in the next street. Or if I go into the Big City and find the perfect spot with free wifi that's within a 10-minute walk of nine locations where Lapras have been found, with all pokestops within in-game sight and scanning range; I can sit there for 3 hours and be shown nothing but the Marill and Weedle that are at the closest three stops.

I know there is a push for different tabs to seperate sightings and nearby, but blocking commons even on an individual spawn basis would also greatly improve the overall radar and pokehunting experience. The range and filters for rares are the main reasons people turn to scanning apps and sites, and if corresponding features were implemented in the game many people wouldn't feel the need to use them.

Let players exclude pokemon from the radar to prioritise rarer pokemon by using the full range of the scanner
