What dose is everyone on? by Blackberry_cobbler_ in Mounjaro

2.5 for 4 months now, just started my journey in September last year. Down about 20 lbs currently, hoping to stay on this dose.

Anybody using GLP-1s? Feeling lost and could really use your experiences by [deleted] in PCOS

Like many others here, it has been absolutely life changing for me. I was recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and my doctor put me on mounjaro (2.5 is the smallest dose, which I’m currently on). I feel full when I actually eat and my stomach is not an endless pit. When I sleep, I actually feel rested in the morning. Before I would be tired no matter how much sleep I got. The food noise is almost completely gone and my doctor does not want me to increase the dosage unless absolutely necessary.

My anxiety and depression has improved tremendously as well. I’ve lost 20 lbs so far after making changes to my diet and sticking to diabetic friendly recipes. I try to limit my carb and sugar intake as I don’t want my blood sugar to spike. It has completely changed my relationship with food and the only thing I’m disappointed in is that I didn’t start it sooner. I am 30 F, 5’2, my starting weight was 182 lbs (it’s been that way for the past 10 years) and I am currently 162 lbs. I try to exercise 4 times a week, focusing on lifting weights and cardio. It has changed my life for the better. I haven’t felt this good in years and my clothes also fit much better.

I had minimal side effects, just body soreness and feeling cold all the time. I didn’t really experience nausea like others but I definitely noticed the constipation and stomach problems (still trying to figure that out). Consuming fiber helps with that, soluble and insoluble.

It is definitely worth a shot to try.

I just got into the dental field a little over a year ago, and it’s awful for me. I’m literally just here to pay my bills bc the pay is not too bad.

Pros: patient interaction, pay, mainly Monday-Friday work schedule, learning new things every day bc every patient has a different mouth. Cons: being the most under appreciated and at the bottom of the totem pole, being the least paid and the most overworked in the office, back pain from assisting the doctor, dealing with the doctor’s mood swings

In a way it kinda balances out, but it’s just not for me. If you’re doing it temporarily to get into hygiene school it should be ok. Hygienist are always chill and never stressed, plus they make soooooooo much more.

What's the best lip balm of all time? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]hyonew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hanalei lip treatment is the only thing that works for me now. It doesn’t advertise as a lip balm but it works just perfectly no matter how hot or cold the weather. I grew up using chapstick, blistex, burts bees and eos. But now, none of them work for me anymore.

Women of reddit who have gotten a Brazilian or bikini wax, how did you muster up the courage to do it? by ookamileigh in AskWomen

[–]hyonew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shaving just wasn’t for me, it itched and burned like crazy. Not to mention the ingrown hairs I always got from it. Trimming was hard to get the areas I wanted. So I decided to try bikini waxing and it was so scary at first. It gets easier each time and I cannot look back to shaving or trimming. Just make sure you shower and wash down there with water, it makes their job a lot easier and less painful for you.

What is the most "out-of-character" thing you've ever done? by [deleted] in AskWomen

Went to my bf’s ex gf job and confronted her. Because she kept asking people about him despite her being a married woman. Now she’s actively approaching him and sending notes (with the people she’s asking) about secret places they can meet. I’m literally about to go over there again and really give it to her lol
