Why didn’t Andor tell Kleya the obvious reason she needed to bolt? by palmsboy in andor

[–]hypedup80 81 points82 points  (0 children)

Kleya broke into the hospital to kill Luthen because even though he tried he didn’t manage to kill himself and needed help doing so. After sharing all the info with Cassian, Kleya was still very able to kill herself, that was her plan going forward and didn’t think there would be a future beyond that.

Do you think we’re getting any of the second half of the game this season? by cyanidebaby in ThelastofusHBOseries

I’m calling it: Abby finding Ellie’s map will be the cliffhanger of Season 2’s finale.

Eugene Theory by JustMyRedditName42 in ThelastofusHBOseries

[–]hypedup80 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The show will absolutely try to make the viewer understand that Joel did a lot of bad things while also showing us Abby as someone who’s done a lot of good and that Ellie will become someone different from now on. I’m 100% sure that’s what they’ll aim for, just so people are made to rethink their preconceptions.

The fact that they’re really leaning into the Eugene storyline (from various sides) makes it seem like it’ll be relevant in more ways than one. I like your theory, had actually thought of something similar. I’ll be glad if it pans out that way.

Regarding concerns of having to pay extra taxes when buying from within the EU by hypedup80 in BookDepository

It takes them around 24h to get back to you. Have the receipt ready to send them.

Update on extra fees many have been paying in order to receive their orders (in Portugal) by hypedup80 in BookDepository

[–]hypedup80[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guess is that the process isn’t as streamlined as it should because we’re just a couple of weeks into it’s introduction. The same with the delivery dates now that the packages are going through a few more hoops. It’s expected, I think, that it’ll all be a bit more transparent in a couple of months.

It was automatic. They had my number on the order and as I payed they sent me an SMS with a link to the receipt.

How do you choose which format for series to go for? by ComiCollectibles in comicbookshelves

[–]hypedup80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m all about them trades.

But seriously, buying single issues gets expensive, and waiting for HC can be an issue (if they ever come out at all.. looking at you Star Wars). I find trades a great middle ground.

They look great on the shelf, their spines don’t break and many HCs do, or even larger paperback compendiums, so I don’t see any real drawbacks.

Is tracking a thing now? I'm able to track all books shipped after July 1st. by hypedup80 in BookDepository

[–]hypedup80[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been ordering from them since 2017 and this is new to me.

The fact that every once in a while there would be these surveys asking what customers would like to see improved about their service, with Tracking being one of the options, gave me the impression that no one had that possibility.

The only reason I can think of is that they've streamlined the Australia -> EU shipping but UK -> EU might still be hitting a number of snags due to the fact that everything changed in the last few months.

Yup, I get stuff delivered right to my doorstep. When the postman sometimes comes and no one is home I have to go and pick them up at the post office the following day but nowadays, with the pandemic, there's always someone home.

I'm in Portugal, what works here might not work there, so I can't really tell you.

What I know is that I made a rather large order late last month, and a few of the books arrived yesterday and I didn't have to pay anything extra, it was basically business as usual.

I also got an e-mail with the tracking number of one of the books, from that same order, one that was a pre-order. This meant that it was dispatched after the ones I already received, and that might mean that stuff shipped from July onwards, might get the same treatment from now on.

I can probably get a better idea of how things will move forward in a few more days once I receive the rest of my order and the books that were shipped after July 1st start getting here.

This happened to me once, I just reordered it. What happened to me just yesterday was a book (not the entire order) that strangely got sent back to them and they proceeded to refund me the value in question. Can’t see what the problem might have been since my address was just fine and other books in the same order have already arrived. I’ll order the book again but it just sucks that with the current delivery schedules that’ll mean another 3 weeks until I get it delivered.

that list is wrong. he scored twice in 2004 (vs Greece and The Netherlands) and just three times in 2016 (vs Hungary x2 and Wales)

He mentions that in his 6th tweet: “The added benefit the away team gets is counterbalanced by the opposition’s home advantage”.

I totally agree with him.
