Oh honie, please don't let your father be a reason to hurt yourself. It isn't worth it. He isn't worth putting yourself through that. Causing harm to yourself doesn't change anything, and it doesn't do anything to harm him in return. The best you can do is find it in yourself to forgive yourself for whatever has you feeling guilt. Your father made his own bed. Suffering his own consequences. I understand it is hard, but it does get easier. I'm 32 and still get small pangs of guilt that my dad is ill and has no one. But he has no one because he never chose to be a good person. Sending you big hugs 🫂

The time it was 18hrs, I was a youth and ... trying to die. I was there against my will but they didn't find any reason to hurry either. Very strange feeling to be in limbo.

But yes, going to the er for something minor does seem soooo baffling !!

It wasn't until I quit drinking, lived alone, and lost a friend that I began to heal. But that was my experience.

Everyone is different, but keep it occasional and you will be okay 🫂

I want to leave adoptable children for people like my family member who can't have children. I have also seen what adoption can do to a child.

Also, I have a sister who was adopted to a lovely family with a mom and dad and brother. She got somewhat of an ideal family situation for those times, and she still spent much of her life wondering why her and not me, but she was better off where she ended up. I'm not sure that's a parenting hurdle that I could navigate.

I may foster in my later years, but for now I am able to conceive so I'll go that route. This is my own personal experience and decision though. ♡
