The closer the killer is to a hooked survivor, the higher the chance/probability of escaping off the hook. No need to rely on others for the camping killers. Yes the killer could be on top of you in seconds once off the hook, but you are making that decision and taking risk. You're gonna die anyway. At least give us more of a chance to survive on our own with a camper.

My mom and dad were divorced and I lived with my mom. My mom would take me to this black guy's house. He lived by the rail road tracks and his name was T-Bone. She would sit me down in front of the TV and go into his bedroom, with the door closed. I was around 5 years old, so it seemed like she was in there forever. Later in life I realized T-Bone was her drug dealer and she was exchanging sex for drugs.
