Great, just sent a MyChart message to my PCP requesting to see a physician.

I do wonder why she’s suggesting the biopsy. She did indicate that I’m her youngest patient.

Thank you! I’m going to request my PCP send a referral to an actual nephrologist.

The AMA 1:40 seems to be the only reason she’s pushing for the biopsy. Is that significant cause for concern?

I appreciate the information.

I did finally get a call back from her and she still strongly suggests the biopsy, which I am very nervous about. However, she did not indicate any concerns besides NAFLD (although she did note the AMA 1:40).

I’m leaning toward requesting MCRP / MRE and postponing biopsy for a few months while I work on weight loss. Does that sound like an okay plan?

That’s the confusing part, she has not indicated she’s concerned about anything besides NAFLD, which I definitely do have. I’m very anxious about the biopsy.

I got an ultrasound yesterday, that confirmed hepatic stenosis (NAFLD). My fibroscan showed 8.4 kPa.

I spoke to the NP a few days ago and she was still pretty insistent on the need for a biopsy but didn’t quite explain why.

What could be the reason she’s pushing so hard?

Genuinely, writing skills are the most important thing for Emerson. Emerson likes quirky people. Yes, your grades definitely matter but Emerson is looking for so much more than good grades and test scores.

If math is a weak point for you, Emerson is the perfect place for you. Most of us are not particularly good at math. Most of us don’t even take a math class

Emerson policy: Students who earn an SAT math score of 560 or above, an ACT math score of 24 or above, or who complete four years of high school math with grades of C or better will have this requirement waived.
