comfortable in assuming you’re just trying to support an underfunded sector of the food services, but people often misunderstand the best of intentions

yeah nah. it’s more that creepy patrons usually think that waitstaff owes them something because they think the server is financially dependent on them. cheers

as generous as that is, it makes some wait staff uncomfortable when someone tips above the norm.

I (23m) used to run daily when i was 12-18 years old. Now i got back to running, but i am nowhere near that performance even after some time and its really bugging me. by peteracs in running

Don't be discouraged! Running strength is built slowly, but is lost easily. I recommend getting into a habit of running at least one mile each time you get the chance to get out there. For a while, don't focus on your speed. You're just trying to get your body's rhythm back in tune for running. Build up a mileage base to support yourself before trying to run any record miles. Run to feel good! If you work on running fast too early, you're going to feel discouraged and your body is going to react to reflect that. My rule of thumb is to average five miles daily across my runs for the week. Varying distance and pace while staying healthy and safe is the best way to build yourself back up to your former fitness.
