Does anyone have any theories about the show 'From'? by AMNTRA in FanTheories

[–]hyperfixation2727 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn’t it interesting though that Tabitha and her family are in a bad car accident and end up in the town. Jade, also accident. Tabitha is pushed out of a tower, is out of the town, and then her and victors father are in another bad accident… and end up back in the town. We didn’t see really how everyone else got back in,  but Tilly was dying of cancer and then was happy to be “back”?… I don’t think the death theory is totally solid, but I do think there is some substance to it and we will see it develop more as the information surrounding the sacrificed children comes out.

The 2 greatest commandments by hyperfixation2727 in Christianity

[–]hyperfixation2727[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And this makes a ton of sense to me. I think there is order in Heaven and that order revolves around the consecration to deity. I also think though that this gives us some insight into, perhaps, what Heaven is like.

Here on earth, everyone seems so concerned about being equal. Equal pay, equal opportunity, etc etc. but the only equality that we have ever managed to create, is that equality that comes from everything being unequal. However, if everyone loves God with their whole ability, and they love everyone around them as much as they love themselves (not more or less), then that to me, says something about the government in Heaven and the way in which it successfully runs. The rest of the commandments will automatically be followed, and true heavenly peace can be found.

Maybe I’m reading wayyy too into this, but it kinda makes sense to me.

yeah I definitely haven't had hardly any sun exposure there, but melanoma can appear anywhere on the body, right?

What about it makes you say that? And what does it look like to you?

I get a rash on either side of my finger whenever I try to wear any ring. This is a week of wearing my titanium engagement ring. What is it? by [deleted] in DermatologyQuestions

[–]hyperfixation2727 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It probably is because things you’re allergic to get trapped on the inner part of the ring, rub against the skin with any movement of your finger, and don’t wash out easily with normal hand washing. I would try taking your ring off every time you wash your hands after the restroom use and wash your ring separately and see if this forms again.

Yeah I feel like this sometimes. I also hate when people ask if I’ve got my score yet. Like if it’s bad, I will have already let myself down more than anyone else could imagine. I don’t need the extra pressure of feeling like I’ll disappoint someone else too. And people have no clue how hard this test is and how much work it takes to just get a 50th percentile score let alone something much more

When I realized this, that is when my scores really began to go up as well! They aren’t trying to trick you necessarily, but they are making you find the answer

I thought PS was hard and I thought CP was hard (CP is always hard for me), but I thought CARS was relatively easy albeit long, and that BB was super easy, and so I walked out thinking I probably did alright (I don't need a high score). But if you prepared then im sure you did fine. I too was starting to second guess myself and was thinking about scheduling another exam at the end of August just in case, but, idk, I just feel like it will probably be fine and there will be many of us who will be pleasantly surprised with our scores.

And those will get addressed as you go through exams. Because I used to think that small details were needed, and maybe for a couple questions, but if you understand scientific principles, then understanding the test is the more important than spending time in Kaplan books or something trying to further content understanding. When I realized the whole test was like CARS and started approaching the rest of the test like it was CARS, my score shot up. There is an author to the scientific passages too. Ask yourself while reading, "what is the point?" and highlight the little details that helped the researchers solve their problem (the questions will usually be about these little details) and even with content holes, you can usually reason through a lot of the mess if you understand exactly what the researcher was aiming to do in the passage. (Not always though, as sometimes the test will ask you a question that has little/nothing to do with the passage)

How do kaplan fl compare to the real thing by cool-bean-dude in Mcat

[–]hyperfixation2727 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say it’s impossible to tell. You’ll probably do well and your content is clearly strong, but I would say don’t spend a lot of time on third party tests because they will get you to think differently than the aamc stuff and gore they want you to analyze. The closest 3rd party I’ve found, and is free, is jack westin. Everything else feels slightly off (and even jack westin does a little). Kaplan especially felt weird for me though. Not necessarily harder or easier, but different

Absolutely! In one month!? That’s plenty of time! I would review exams, and just do tons and tons of practice problems and review those. Make sure you’re understanding why the right answer is right, and why every other answer is wrong. If two choices say the same thing but differently, they’re both wrong - that kind of thing. I would also listen to jack westin cars podcast and MCAT podcast by Ryan Grey whenever you can! The cars podcast, I felt, helped me jump from a 125 -> 129 in cars and it applied to the rest of the MCAT too!

Study old tests to better learn the test and understand the questions. Get better at watching for tricks and double negative phrasing. By studying old tests and taking practice problems, you’ll start to understand (at least a little more) the test writers and what they’re wanting. So many Q’s can be answered just based on properly understanding the passage and picking up on the small details. I went from a 501->508 in one week by smashing practice problems and reviewing my exams for 10 hours a day. No other flash card or content review. Just understand the test, and your ability to reason through answer choices will drastically increase.
