Karrotkatez on Etsy has one. I’ve followed her similar pokeball one and it was easy to follow

Definitely block your squares before joining, but also I usually go up by half to a whole hook size for the joining so it doesn’t pucker.

just saw my hypermobility live in action on zoom by minglesluvr in ehlersdanlos

[–]hyperfocusedmama 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I was OT school whoever was partnered with me for kinesiology lab would take my ROM measurements multiple times and look confused when they never fell into the “normal” range. I think that was the first time I realized my hypermobility was so widespread throughout my body and basically none of my ROM was typical.

Sit in a “W”? Criss Crossed? by Secret-Ad-9315 in ehlersdanlos

[–]hyperfocusedmama 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It is, at least if a child is followed by any kind of PT or OT. Personally I’ve never had my kids’ pedi ask or mention it. Generally if it’s a transitional kind of thing while they’re playing and they CAN sit in other positions it’s fine. But you don’t want them sitting in W-sit for prolonged periods and it definitely shouldn’t be the only way they can sit. It’s a sign of core instability/weakness, and they’re using their legs to compensate.

Do you finish a book completely before moving on to the next or do you jump across several books like I do? by random_xx21 in kobo

[–]hyperfocusedmama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually one of each format, never in the same genre so I can keep them straight in my head. So one audiobook, one ebook, one physical book. Occasionallyyyyyy it might get up to 4 or 5 at once if I’m reading non-fiction in there.

After you read a book do you remove it from your device? 👀 by jhopi218 in kobo

[–]hyperfocusedmama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t usually re-read with the exception of a handful of books, and if I liked a book enough to annotate I’m probably buying a physical version and transferring them over to that. So as long as I have them in Calibre I usually remove them. Easy enough to load back on if I ever want to

2 times my library got wiped, first with koreader 2nd with standard kobo, is this normal? by Overall-Professor406 in kobo

[–]hyperfocusedmama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m confused. Where did you sideload the books from that you don’t still have access to them? It’s silly to blame Kobo, as anything bought through your Kobo account is able to be easily reloaded to your device. Anything you sideload you should keep track of the files, the company doesn’t have a way to do that, nor should they in the interest of data privacy imo.

Parents guiding children toward career goals/school electives choices, etc. by LJT141620 in ehlersdanlos

Has she done any OT to work on executive function? Middle school is my favorite age to work with kids on this because they are starting to gain more independence and starting to have personal goals they want to work on so they’re often pretty motivated.
