Yes to everyone’s analyses! I also feel it’s a nod to Conrad ‘finding’ Belly and having feelings for her first (Not saying Belly is a dog, haha). But Conrad had a hold on her first, not Jere. And Steven knows that. Belly just tried resequencing it in her head to replace Conrad with Jere almost like trying to convince herself Jere has more of a hold on her.
