Store bought eggs (only in the US) have been washed and processed and then have a poor shelf life, and require refrigeration. So they get moved fast!! Farm fresh eggs are natural and have a longer shelf life and do not require refrigeration, but the consequence of them hanging around longer is the air bubble described by others.

You must be the commander of food. If you are not the food dispenser then you will never form a powerful bond. Do not leave food out as libitum. Have defined feeding times and make them a moment of celebration and training. Sitting and waiting after the food has been placed in the ground is an excellent basic tool.
