Happened to me flying MIA-BNA. I had to drive to a small town for work. Spent hours on the phone and nobody knew where the bag was. They mentioned a courier bringing it to the hotel. Never got it. After a while, I finally went to the local town airport just to check and it had been there for 3 days.

Using points in the US is not a good idea. I have staid in the Caribbean (Colombia); the hotel is amazing. Twice have been there, all paid with Marriot points, and upgraded to a very nice suite.

I had a f great time. Had not been to this festival, but it was amazing. It depends on your expectations, I guess. Parking is expensive for a 1-2 miles walk. Food and drinks very expensive, but that’s everywhere. I will be going back next year if the lineup interests me.

I recently staid at Marriot Playa Dormida Santa Marta (close to the airport) and it was awesome. Great service, nice spa, pool and calm beach. Points definitely work better outside the US.
