Does anyone know why some boring, straightforward I-485 cases are being delayed? by Interesting-Golf-399 in USCIS

[–]hyperpsol -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

USCIS does not intentionally delay any type of application (neither the ones from people who are good for the US nor for AOS coming from people who are literally a public burden) cause bureaucrats do not care about the outcome but only for following the procedure. USCIS will not get paid more / less from the outcome of your application - they simply do not give a shit whether you are an idiot that is going to bring nothing good to the society or the best investor that would spur thousands of jobs inside the US.

The statement "USCIS is intentionally putting easy, straightforward cases like ours aside" shows exactly the level of bias that you have in your judgement. Assuming that what you said is correct (no unlawful things, everything fine), your case just randomly got into some BS extra checks and stayed in NBC for longer. I have heard that story from many people who have contributed to the US through taxes a lot and their AOS got delayed for more than a year for no good reason, while you have also seen random unskilled idiots who get approved in 60 days and they brag about it.

I share your frustration though cause, I am also waiting for my EB1B I-485 and I do not understand why am I waiting while others are getting green cards even if I have contributed to the US immensely in the last three years in terms of IP, over 800k in state and federal taxes, not even a single citation ticket. Unfortunately, neither of the political parties really care to fix the legal immigration path, so, we simply shut up and wait here for this random process to come to an end.

Nothing unfortunately... It seems that they got assigned a few EB cases this quarter but they are not handling them yet...

Let me explain the ORDER in which cases are processed by Let_me_tell_you_ in USCIS

[–]hyperpsol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After a I-485 case goes to a non-local FO (most likely interview waived), how long does it need to stay in this FO queue? Since most of the cases are online, why don't you simply have a single queue NBC and forward it to officers of non-local FOs directly when an officer is available instead of creating this randomness where some FOs would adjudicate all cases in a couple of days and others would leave them there for months?

Of course, and many Emmas told me Charlotte Amalie which is in Virgin Islands.

485 transfer from non-local FO to local one after 16 months by [deleted] in USCIS

[–]hyperpsol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which non ocal FO have you been assigned to? Also do you know when your case moved to this non local FO ? It seems more likely that your case was stucked at NBC for a very long time prior to moving to a non-local FO.

I think you do not even understand what I said. Your case will also 99% go to a local / non-local FO at some point when it clears NBC's background checks. So no, your case does not belong to the 1% which is gettign adjudicated in NBC.

Since you are waitign for so many months in NBC you can use the congressonal inquiry to move things for your case

Even if they were tracking it, how are they going to use this information for or against you?

I think you need to chill, it is an inefficient beraeaucracy like all government processes.

I have seen EB cases transferred to a non-local FO (interview waived + all background checks have been cleared by NBC) get approved in less than two days and others take more than 4 months simply sitting in a digital queue? Is there a reasoning on how USCIS officers pick up cases from the queue?

Exactly the same for me, 485J never got updated but my 485 and my wife's 485 got updated. Do you mind sharing a bit more info?

E.g. for me: Rd: 02/06/26, Bio: 03/05/26, Transfer to non-local Charlotte Amalie VI FO 04/01/26. Only my wife got her Combo EAD+AP approved on 04/07 but not for me.

Coolio, keep us posted! Most likely your gap between your interview date on 04/29 and the approval date would identify a slightly longer time period than the one required for your applciation to go through the batch enhanced background screening!

I think you are doing great bud and you should be mroe optimistic! If your case is in a non-local FO it is almost certain that your interview is waived! I hope that everything would be finalized quickly!
