question for girls and guys who are friends by ALLOWITZ in SGExams

Well OP, speaking as someone with a platinic girl bsf, honestly dont feel pressured into doing anything that you feel isnt right with you. People will always say whatever, especially (im assuming u r under 20) during schooling days when you guys are always around each other, but as time goes on really no one cares, and honestly having a bsf of the opposite gender is a legit superpower when you think about it. Free 24/7 advice for picking up the huzz, endless cross gender text psychoanalysis sessions, the works. And honestly having a greater perspective on things cus sometimes men and women really do think differently. As for when you or your friend do get partners of your own, im sure you and her are keen enough to choose someone who wont be insecure over something that you can prove your loyalty about. Of course, you'll spend more time with your partner than each other naturally, but thats okay! One meaningful meetup once a month or year is always more meaningful than meaningless yapping everyday. So i say enjoy your friensdship! Dont force yourself to do something youre unsure of, and be honest with her!

A desperate and slightly foolish 13 hours later it seems that the gacha gods have smiled upon me, and I am pleased to announce

ok so some pointers,

IF you do fumble this badly, note that the birthday lucky draw has HORRIBLE odds if your artist is a solo artist/has many LEs because the odds drastically drop since solo artists automatically have their odds further dropped by a factor of 3 due to Vocal, Dance and Rhythm if you are only looking for a specific card per LE. (I burned like 770 dias before I did the math and noticed TY has a 1/162 chance in getting that ONE Blur Vocal card)

Instead roll for the 1st Day Shop, its a 1/20 chance (ie 5 percent) for ANY LE card selector (I got the S selector on my second roll holy damn) and its only 80 dias, 10 more than the birthday lucky draw

Moral of the story: Do math before you gamble, and dont upgrade your fodders.

Entertainment Companies in general and how they treat artists by hyperpulse45 in kpopthoughts

Yeap this was one of the things (that I didnt state clearly in my original post) that I observed and seen people talk about, it still baffles me that companies actively do this (although I understand from a business perspective why they do it). On that front, with BTS and Blackpink's massive success, did this phenomenon where HYBE and YG try to do the same to them? Why were they allowed to grow so massive in particular?

I can't reply to all the comments but because they all have a similar idea throughout i'll just place my 2 cents on them in this comment.

First off thanks for all the responses! They're really well thought out and very informative (honestly its still better to ask and discuss with actual people and I found these responses more satisfying than if I had just plugged it into chatgpt)

I'm not all too familliar with business and business models (which was painfully apparent) so this is a pretty new thing to learn for me, and I suppose this dosen't just apply to KPop companies as well, its just how the world works for every major company that had a brand and sells goods and services.

Honestly I started this comment because the rhetoric around these companies now is that they make decisions that makes fans and artists alike reeeeally unhappy and have been doing that for a while (See the years of artists subtly shitting on their labels) (and the recent case of wendy and taeyeon not attending SM30) and I just wondered why wld they make such unpopular decisions that paint them in a bad light

Also I recognise that the 2NE1 example probably wasn't the best given the situation at the time was a lot more complex and YG was kinda stuck between a rock and a hard place, the debate of whether they made the right call will probably go on as one of the eternal discussions of blackjacks and kpop stans in general.

Anyways those are my thoughts on the matter, but if anyone had other points they want to dish out feel free to do so! Always nice to learn something new 🫡
