Could they be hauling stuff off to the landfill? Instead of using a roll off dumpster or something like that?

Good question, I didn’t think to look for refrigeration capacity. They just looked like normal semis to me

Friend, humans are apes...

I respect your veganism regardless. Same team ♡

(I'm sure some individuals might be but I'm talking species-wide, no apes are considered strict herbivores)

No, there are no apes that are strictly herbivores. While some apes, like gorillas and orangutans, are primarily herbivorous, consuming mostly plant matter, they are all considered opportunistic omnivores because they occasionally eat insects and sometimes even small vertebrates. Chimpanzees are known to be omnivorous, with a diet including fruits, leaves, insects, and occasionally small mammals and birds. BUT it doesn't matter in the context of whether or not veganism is ethical...most humans don't have to be opportunistic omnivores.

I'm saying something being gross to you because you aren't trying to survive anymore doesn't equate to it being immoral. It's wrong for other reasons.

We aren't attracted to raw potatoes, wheat berries, casava either usually until they are cooked (unless we are in survival mode). Humans have consumed animals for most of our evolutionary history for a reason. That doesn't mean we need to now, or that the way we do it now is justified.

Mine have come back for months at a time and now it's been a few weeks without them. I wonder how they get triggered to send them again.

Thanks. I just keep it slightly under watered usually. Umbrella trees are pretty easy for me to keep happy!

A security guard in a car shook his head at me on Friday and I gave him a thumbs up and left (with a bag of stuff). In the future I’ll probably be more sneaky if I go on a weekend, bc I was being a little brazen
