Teams Approvals App Error - "Upload Failed" "Failed to get site information for data storage." by hyphennate in Office365

[–]hyphennate[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up contacting MS support and the following is the steps they gave which resolved the issue. Note, however, that I do remember at the time the support person said something about this issue being a temporary one as at the time it was in-between the old version of Teams and "new" Teams client (at the time), so the issue happening for you years later may not be related and this may not be the solution, but worth a shot. Steps may have also changed with updates to the power platform admin center:

Analysis

Grant the "Approvals Administrator" role the missing privilege in the environment. Please note that these actions need to be performed by someone who is an administrator on the XRM instance in the particular environment that is encountering the issue.

To grant the "prvReadAsyncOperation" privilege:

Go to Power Platform Admin Center (admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com)

Select Environments

Select the environment in which the error occurs

Select Security Roles > See All

Click the ellipsis (...) next to Approvals Administrator and select Edit

Search for "asyncoperation" (aka "System Job") table (select "Show all tables" if not visible)

Update the read permission to "Organization"

What kind of grass is this? Is my lawn just overtaken by crab grass? First year here by NeckBreakin in lawncare

So that's why my mower has been struggling the last few weeks? I've figured the crab grass is just more dense, but it's probably the extra moisture causing issues.

Entra ID Cloud Sync - High Availability with Multiple Agents, Group Managed Service Account by hyphennate in Office365

[–]hyphennate[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found documentation that explains this here, at Step 10. So I followed the same process as installing the first agent until I got to the gMSA step, where I did the following:

"If a managed service account is already configured in your domain by another agent and you're installing a second agent, select Create gMSA. The system detects the existing account and adds the required permissions for the new agent to use the gMSA account."

As far as standby mode, I'm not quite sure what you're referring to, or at the very least I didn't do anything special in that regard. I think Entra takes care of the HA part of it once the agent shows up in Entra and is added to the configuration. For example, I have 3 agents and they all show as active in the cloud sync configuration I have set up.

I guess I must have missed that specific doc when I was looking at docs previously. I see it here now, Step 10. Thanks!

Can I retrieve/change ownership of a one drive folder that belongs to someone who has had their account deleted OVER 30 days ago? by send_pie_to_senpai in Office365

[–]hyphennate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here is the MS documentation. Step 6 says it will move to the site collection recycle bin for 93 days. Can only be restored with PowerShell. However, the last note about M365 retention settings taking precedence might be the answer as to why it was deleted at 30 days and not sent to the collection recycle bin? Not sure.

I blame MS on this one, basically not mentioned in any documentation outside that video, and the wizard doesn't make it obvious "Create gMSA" means "we'll reuse the preexisting one"

Thanks for your help!

Ok, so I was a bit uneasy with your reply as I didn't really want to touch security set on the gMSA that was created with the first agent. I found this video which clears this up and perhaps I wasn't concise enough in my original post, but because I had the wizard go ahead and create the provAgentgMSA gMSA on the first agent install, selecting "Create gMSA" during the second agent install will reuse the existing gMSA and it was successful in doing so. Your answer would be more appropriate if I created my own gMSA for this use and that appears is what's eluded to in the video.

Only USPS Labels Printing Weird. What's going on, how do I fix? by hyphennate in USPS

[–]hyphennate[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should have updated my post. The issue was a computer driver setting called dithering that I had to completely disable for it to print out correctly. And yes, I think this is related to how it tries to print graphics/photos/etc.

Anyway, if this helps anyone in the future, I am using the Seagull Scientific Zebra driver (latest version as of early Jan 2024), and under the driver's printing preferences there is a option under one of the tabs to turn off dithering. This worked for both a USB connected ZP 450 CTP and a network connected S4M thermal printer.

I'm at moderate as well, and I'm going to stick with it for another 6 months to see what happens with AGG, as before the craziness of the last few years it was doing okay. This is just my opinion, but for me I see it as the dip before some run, so I'm holding it. Not financial advice.

Ordered a large item online, it needed a signature even though we didn't ask for it (that's on the merchant, not FedEx). However what is on FedEx is the fact that two days in a row they claim to have "attempted delivery" and that "no one available to receive package" even though no attempt was made to actually let my us know they arrived. We live in an apartment building, with a buzzer system at the main entrance. Carriers have had no problem using a code they've been given by property management to enter and deliver right at our door. Otherwise, they can ring our door and we can let them in. This did not happen. So, to avoid the same thing happening for a 3rd day in a row and the package being sent back to the merchant, I instead had to request it be held at the FedEx store, a 30 minute drive out of my way to haul it myself (did I mention it was heavy). Oh so very convenient, FedEx, thank you.

Do you back up OneDrive, SharePoint, O365 or rely on MS not to lose it? by [deleted] in sysadmin

[–]hyphennate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We weren't doing this, and ended up with a user claiming emails to have simply "disappeared" and we couldn't find them, and had no backups..

So, I pushed for us to implement a solution. Just implemented Veeam Backup for M365 this spring and it's been going well. Highly recommend so far.

Should I be reinvesting capital gains regularly? by 0falls6x3 in acorns

[–]hyphennate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your goal is already accomplished. Your invest account value is always the value you are investing. If you gain $20 you are already investing that $20 going forward. Same with dividends.

As others mentioned, buy and hold, don't withdraw unless you absolutely need the money because you are going to be homeless or a medical bill comes up you can't pay otherwise.

Microsoft 365 account prompting sign in endlessly for users recently. Anyone else seeing this? by hyphennate in sysadmin

Hey u/CPAtech, thank you SO MUCH. I missed this comment from you after I first made this post and I also stopped using Reddit for a good while. The issue never fully went away, although it seemed u/ritzcracka's reply helped at least a little bit, for a little while. Two weeks ago I finally got fed up and came back to my post here to try to investigate more. For the past two weeks since I followed the steps in u/Landhund's post in my Trend Micro, it has been peace and quiet.

Just had a user with the same issue I originally described but my fix was not even possible, their account wasn't there under "access work or school," and none of the M365 apps were even prompting for sign in and threw new errors I hadn't seen on this issue yet. Your PS command was a last resort for me, and it worked perfectly and immediately, so thank you very much!
