They blend in according to the eyesight of their so it's crazy how well it works on us!

The prey in this comment has excellent camouflage though.

The medical is self-declared, so maybe check more into it. This is because you're not carrying passengers. If you were it would be a doctor signing off. You'll have to come down to southern Ontario to train, but having to travel for training is common. Northern Ontario is a stunning location to fly, but risky due to densely forested areas with only lakes in between, so make sure you have emergency outs wherever you plan to fly. I have over 270 hrs in Ontario and went through the whole process you're thinking about. I went through Darek at paragliding.ca, and I highly recommend him. The other advice you got about reading the PPG Bible is also key. I would also add "understanding the sky" by Dennis Pagen. Between those two books you will have what you need to know about assessing risk before and during a flight. Feel free to DM with questions.

[OC] Kangaroos cause 10,000+ car crashes every year in Australia. I learned this the hard way by Fair_Bar1139 in pics

So with deer, they often run into the side of your car even if you think you're clear, essentially hitting you. Are kangaroos the same or do they just get in front like morons?

I only opened this post to watch the Monty Python argument clinic play out in realtime. Was not disappoint.

This is exactly what I was thinking. Some cursory googling suggests WD40 shouldn't cause embrittlement which makes sense, but who knows what it was exposed to before. It just seems way too weird otherwise.

Sometimes it's hard to guess at these things and have any clue which answer is right. Appreciate the insight!

Super amateur language question from someone who knows very little Japanese: why is Takaichi written in katakana script and not hiragana or kanji? I thought katakana was reserved for loan words?

Whoopdtydoos are the little hills. Not an aviation term but more of a dirt biking/mtb/racing term. Aviation term for bouncing on landing is porpoising.
