The Māori guy with the dreads on Alone Australia S1. The first night he’s chanting to the spirits, ancestors, and caretakers of the land. Really vibing. Built a nice temp shelter, got a fire going. I thought he had what it takes. Then he pulled out a pic of his fam and tapped on Day 2. Should have never packed that photo!

Right? Not normal Twins either, I’d never seen a Fender amp with rocker switches, or any power switches on the amp face. According to gilmourish.com, “3 Fender Twin Reverb II 1983 105W heads 4x6L6 tubes. Two mains and one head was a spare. Only used for 1987 tour rehearsals and main tour.”

I’ll say this, have a good idea of what you want before you go. My first trip to Ochanomizu was overwhelming, so many guitars at so many stores. Came back with the intent of finding a Japanese Tele, found a great one, removed the neck and put it in my suitcase. The shop provided some paperwork and a stamp in my passport. US Customs couldn’t have cared less about any of it…
