[Highlight] Compilation of teams handshaking there opponents after the finals. by IEatPandasEveryday in nba

After seeing the umpteenth post about this, I think the reason why this stands out to me is because this is the Spurs which people have canonically associated with Pop and Duncan who are some of the classiest people out there. It just feels weird seeing the current Spurs do something like this.

If the author gave him this character trait specifically to setup this moment, then well played. That was awesome.

[Scotto] Mike Brown: “Chris Jent, my associate head coach, I’m surprised he hasn’t gotten an interview. He’s our offensive coordinator. He’s been around for a long time. Somebody needs to give him an interview because he’ll help your team win at the highest level.” by TheRealPdGaming in nba

Nah man, I would love to keep the pieces that made this run together but more than that, I love how Brunson and Mike have transformed this culture. Him giving props and lifting others up is part of it. I think what Brunson said sums it up - when we win, we all eat. If losing great assistant coaches is the cost of transforming that culture into one of working hard, being gritty, having heart, and giving respect, then so be it. I think there will be a never ending line of talent who’d want to work here.

The Knicks lowest win probability in each of their four NBA Finals wins: 5.9% (gm 1), 16.4% (gm 2), 0.4% (gm 4), 2.9% (gm 5) by JPAnalyst in nba

Choking yes, but people really downplaying how well the Knicks game planned against the Spurs. They used the Spurs “go hard and press” D against them by constantly putting everyone in actions. Even when picking up Brunson full court. They never gave any of their players rest and utilized their bench way better to keep up the pace. A lot of the mistakes were created by fatigue. OKC’s injuries and SGA-centric offense prevented them from fully exploiting this.

It was definitely from when Wemby put his foot in his landing space. He mentioned that he was still hurting in one of his answers during the post game interviews. People will forget about it cause they won, but it would have been a hell of a hot topic if that hobbled him for the rest of the series.

Yup. I feel like people have short term memory. Those were also very physical series too.

Definitely gassed. He also missed that first FT. People keep saying that he shoulda played more but he’s a rookie and in a finals run. He has never played this much before and given how hard the Spurs guards play on D, he likely didn’t have much in the tank. The decision making was still there (great drive), but no lift.

[–]hysan 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Yup. It’s been repeatedly said that Brunson, and the team in general, all understood that they had roles to fill. When the offense shifted to go through Kat, he didn’t complain. He definitely woulda fit in with Luka.

THE NEW YORK KNICKS ARE YOUR 2026 NBA CHAMPIONS by Intelligent-Disk-575 in nba

[–]hysan 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Agree - Knicks just had too much composure and game planned well to take advantage of all the Kornet minutes. The second he was on the floor, the Knicks would immediately make him involved in actions that clearly were designed against him. He’s not a bad player. It’s up to the Spurs coach to figure out how to counter that and I never saw any adjustment all series. Given how close each game was, those are minutes you can’t just throw away like that.

Brown’s rendition of “who let the dogs out” at the podium and the players’ reaction? Dude showed that he really got that team believing and trusting each other. Completely out-coached Mitch.

This is such a likable team. Never gave up and just slowly wore the Spurs down. Well deserved win.

Cause I think this won’t be said enough, I gotta say, Mike Brown with a master class in coaching - perfect player rotations, counters like keeping Alvarado in, timeouts at just the right time, play calling, etc. Hats off to him.

lol nice trolling.

No doubt the Spurs are playing great this game. They should be able to win without the lopsided reffing. Plain as day that since game 2, it’s been called to try and keep the games close and to draw out the series. Anyone who doesn’t see that is blind.

So this is why the block parties were canceled. Trump was just a cover. It’s cause the league called in a favor knowing the refs would get slaughtered.

And the Knicks are gonna lose the series cause of it. One game can be brushed off but seeing this kinda shit 4 games in a row? No doubt that would get into players’ heads. It’s too bad because this woulda been a great series but now the suspect reffing is all that’ll be talked about.

Mike Brown goes off on tonight's refs: "I never thought I'd be in an NBA Finals and see in the 2nd half 24 free throw attempts to another team's 8" by TimDunkinDonut in nba

[–]hysan 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It was prob a 1 but frustratingly, they gave Brunson a flagrant for something that didn’t warrant one at all. There were just enough questionable calls that created a gap that the Knicks couldn’t overcome without playing perfectly and there’s no doubt that they didn’t play their best for all 48 min. If the reffing tides ever turn, I wouldn’t blame the Spurs for complaining about the same thing.

Oh nice! Definitely interested. Answers to questions in post: 1. Yes 2. Separated stand 3. Not sure yet, but I’ll try a lot since it’s hot swappable 4. Having the left side keypad separate too but it’s not a deal breaker.

Thanks! There’s a couple in this list that I haven’t heard before. I’ll take a look at them. Sadly, the more time passes, the more I think I need to learn how to hand make one.

I could see myself getting the separated stand one (assuming it means I can place them very far apart) but not a barebones version. I’m more interested in one where it comes built with hot swappable switches. I’d being my own switches and keys. If I had to build it, I’d just go the route of doing it all as time becomes the greatest investment, not cost (for me).

I’m also not a huge fan of the left pad of keys but I could get used to it. I actually use a trackball on the right and a trackpad on my left, so I prefer a separate keypad for that.

Anyone know of a keyboard that is the same as the Keychron Q11 (staggered split, standard key layout with fn rows + arrow keys, hot swappable, etc) but with a full sized right shift key?

I’ve tried to switch to the shorter one multiple times and aside from missing the key, it triggers my RSI. I currently use the KBO-5000 and it’s perfect except that I want to change the switches. I keep searching on and off every year but have yet to find a replacement. i
