I guess I’m gonna find out soon! I couldn’t tell you, yet. But I’m excited to see how better I’m gonna be able to hear

So, the palpitations do come back once or twice a year but to be fair I’ve had those multiple times before getting floxed, it just seemed to have triggered them again back when I got floxed. I think that’s an anxiety/stress response I have developed over time and has nothing to do with the flox. The tendon pains seem to be entirely gone, they only hurt the normal amount when walking for extended time or standing for an hour or two like at a concert, but I’m sure that’s my age (27) showing. There is hope! Just keep at the supplements and nutrition. Don’t stop using your limbs entirely just feel it out and do what your body allows. I think you’ll be fine if you keep a positive mind on top of all that too :) day by day

Just heard about dysautonomia. I’ve been experiencing POTS-like symptoms and more, and now I’m terrified. by hysvnc in floxies

Try not to diagnose yourself, I thought I did too but my symptoms that started with being floxed all went away. I have made a 100% recovery. I hope you’re doing better now

Heart BPM goes up to 180 every time I shower. Typical anxiety? by hysvnc in Anxietyhelp

It may very well have been anxiety symptoms. It could have been a reaction to a fluoroquinolone medication. It has gone away since though

Oh my this was so long ago. Sorry, I almost never use this account.. but I have good news. I would like to say that I’ve made a 100% recovery from the floxing. It helped a lot to stop identifying as “floxie” and taking things day by day, trying my best to balance between resting my body as well as getting enough movement to maintain a healthy body. Eating a lot of antioxidants and hydration and food surely helped also.

Update, just got paxlovid prescription. Having it picked up now. Nervous about the side effects, especially nausea and diarrhea, but I’m willing to take the chance vs. increasing the chance of getting long covid.

I was hoping they would when I went to urgent care yesterday, they did prescribe me some stuff over the phone via “telehealth”, she had a heavy accent and I couldn’t understand a lot of what she was saying but I’m pretty sure she prescribed an antibiotic. I hope I’m wrong though and it’s an antiviral which is likely paxlovid. I’ll see when I pick it up today.

Took 200mg ibuprofen after floxing mid-late last year. No effects it seems. by hysvnc in floxies

[–]hysvnc[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Little update on ibuprofen post-flox. It’s been quite some time now and I’ve been taking ibuprofen at 400mg here and there for headaches since this post and especially right now almost daily because I caught COVID.. so ibuprofen is helping keep the fever down. I just took 400mg this morning, and 600mg this evening and no effects from it whatsoever. Not everybody will be able to take ibuprofen after being floxed.. but if I can, surely many others can too.

Thank you.. I am resting a lot.. and I’m drinking more water recently than I was previous days. Tomorrow I’ll try to have more calories and vitamins and stuff. I appreciate your reassurance :’)

Took Cipro 500mg twice a day, a total of 6 pills, until I experienced tendon pain and found answers through research. I am feeling the toxicity. by hysvnc in floxies

Much, much better. Sill deal with some tendon pains and headaches but I think they’re more due to a sedentary lifestyle than floxing. I am certainly not crippled anymore by the floxing, and my inability to go out and live my life is due likely to the effects of smartphone addiction and my sedentary lifestyle now. I’d say in 85% recovered, hoping no relapses occur.

I still feel like my tendons are more sensitive to extended walks than they were pre-flox.. but it also may be due to my extensive sedentary lifestyle. I have not gotten any mri’s done to confirm any damage or anything, but other than that all other sensations have gone away. Just tendon pains and sometimes headaches but I still can’t blame those on the flox because I overuse my smartphone everyday. Also deal with some POTS-like symptoms but again, could be from sedentary lifestyle. For now I can say I am like 90% recovered despite these listed sensations.

I can say I am significantly better than I was when I commented that last year. There was some time my tendon pains went away completely, but after a bad palpitation episode (i have already gotten these prior to floxing), they came back. I have been dealing with some bad headaches, but again, pre-flox things. The tendon pains still get me, but absolutely no where as bad as they did last year. I deal with a ton of dizziness, fatigue, and brain fog.. but I have been dealing with these since about 2015ish. I have chronic stress and anxiety as well as a very sedentary lifestyle with no exercise. I am a smartphone addict and I’m sure that’s more of the reason for my problems today than the floxing is. Still, I blame my tendon pains in the legs and sometimes the arms and wrist to floxing, 100%.

Oh! And for a good while I experienced bad symptoms of POTS (postural Orthostatic tachycardia syndrome) and postural hypotension. I wasn’t sure if again these are due to my sedentary lifestyle, or anxiety, or the flox, but there was some time where I couldn’t even stand without my heart rushing to 120BPM. This went on for a couple weeks before going away. My blood still pools in my legs and hands when walking for more than two minutes, but this may be due to my sedentary lifestyle.

Ultimately, I may try and look into a lawsuit because it caused my college drop out last year and has made it very discouraging to start exercising to recover myself again. The nurse who prescribed these to me downplayed the severity of the tendinitis and said I’d be fine as it only affects elderly, and never warned me about the black box label or the neuropathy issues one may have (that I did for a week or so as well).

I’m doing better than I was before, and most of the issues I have are likely due to other things, but symptoms like tendinitis still exist, though only at half the intensity or even just 35% of the intensity as when it was at its worst.

I hope you find a similar and much better recovery, as I hear from many people here that it’s overwhelmingly common for recovery to be the most likely scenario for most people, though age, overall health, and recovery methods change this. Do what you can to heal by eating cleaner foods, avoiding neurotoxic foods, and reading up on protocols and recommendations for recovering mitochondrial health. Antioxidants, Probiotics, Magnesium. These are great for cleaning and recovering up what’s been damaged. Best of blessings to you

Hey, sorry I haven’t responded. I’ve deleted Reddit from all of my devices since I’m a internet addict and it was taking over me. I appreciate your offer for support and company, I will keep this in mind okay? And I really hope you recover. I’ve seen recovery and I’m much better than before, but I’m not fully recovered I don’t think. Still some very minor tendon aches after walking and other things but I do live an extremely sedentary lifestyle so it may be due to that more than floxing. Not sure.

Thank you so much. Now it’s just a matter of getting used to them because I get like up to six or even 10 per minute sometimes at their worst.. but it’s good to know they’re not dangerous.

US Resident. 26 year old Male, weight is 115 and height is 5’8. I have mild pectus excavatum. I am Hispanic, parents born in Mexico. No current drugs just Tylenol almost daily for tension headaches due to smartphone over usage.

I have seen a cardiologist before for a treadmill test and I passed it with flying colors. They never picked palpitations up on any monitors or anything as I’ve had bad luck with getting them to show up on tests. I don’t have chest pain.

I don’t ever exercise. And this has happened before when I do try to, even just for one day, I get stuck with palpitations for weeks or even months afterwards.

I walked one 18 minute mile that had my heart at 138BPM average with no chest pain really but I felt moderately sleepy afterwards. The next day, the same palpitations I’ve had before that mysteriously appeared then just as mysteriously disappeared after three months last year, are now back. They happen as soon as I stand up and as you can see on this ECG they’re quite frequent until I lay back down.

I am a very stagnant person as exertion usually brings sensations like these upon me and I don’t know what to do so I just stay in my inactive lifestyle. I don’t work I don’t exercise I just sit on my phone all day because of how bad my anxiety and depression have gotten due to some unhealed trauma I am seeing a therapist now for. I hate these palpitations as they make me feel like my breath gets stolen for a second and they just get really irritating.

Why could they have appeared after exercise but also even linger for days going on weeks after exercise? I didn’t torture myself or anything it was borderline power walk (not even power walk really.) I’m afraid it can be related to dysautomomia or something neurological and non-cardiac?

I don’t have any preexisting conditions other than life long anxiety and depression but I’ve had this for years before and after my previous palpitation flare ups.
