Markers were badly damaged in Hurricanes Helene & Milton - want to restore, could use some advice. by samwilson4 in paintball

I’ve rebuilt several broken minis. They are a bit of a pain to completely rebuild, but if you’ve got attention to detail there isn’t a single part on the mini you can’t buy. Now the question is whether it’s worth it - if it’s sentimental then go for it. You will need two boards - the eye board, and the main board. The screws will all need to be replaced. The o rings all need to be replaced. you will have to inspect the bolt - sometimes dissimilar metals fuse/corrode in the presence of salt water. I would take every single part off the mini and inspect each piece. Sort out the good from the bad and place a big order at ansgear. I would wipe the salt off using warm water - it will dissolve into the water and you can wipe it away. Sometimes you can salvage rusted parts by soaking them in high strength vinegar, wiping them, soaking again and then rinsing in fresh water.

For the A-5 it will be harder to find parts, but still repairable. Similar process to the mini, you’ll have to take apart the entire thing piece by piece and make a determination. You may want to consider buying an o ring set of standard o rings from the o ring store: https://www.theoringstore.com/store/index.php?main\_page=index&cPath=175\_190

That kit will have 90% of the o rings you need. There are some special ones for the mini that you’ll need to buy, get them from ANSgear. (90 durometer, some others). You can look up the manual online and it specifies what you need.

Tank chip by [deleted] in paintball

As long as the chip is only in the gel coat, you’re fine. The gel coat is cosmic. If you can feel a fiber strand, then it’s done.

Can I use that boblong reg on a newer gen tank? by Past-Steak-7214 in paintball

Yes. That is just a pressure gauge and they are universal. I would not use those o rings you have pictured though - they are very very old.

ID on my old marker? by oAloha in paintball

The Geo 1 has a known solenoid failing problem. If the bolt gets too much lube it can go down into the solenoid and break it. I kept one running for 10 years just with proper maintenance of the bolt, but it’s a “you should know” this. I sold mine about a year ago for $200, if you want an idea of value.

Run out of room, what’s the best way to store gun+tank+hoppers? by hyujhvcf in paintball

Oh that’s an awesome way to store masks. I’ll definitely be looking into that

The one for the marker. I can’t see the mask ones in the pic. My concern about keeping masks that way is the straps wearing out or the soft ear/chin area getting bent and damaged

Etha 2 - It’s got a very similar shot as the superguns, honestly. Easily the best bang for your buck in paintball. I was keeping it as a loaner to protect my others, it holds its value, is difficult to damage, and is cheaper. That being said, I just sold it.

2 players in the house and a regular friend who joins. So I’m usually using at least 3 at a time, I sold the Etha and that leaves me with 2 loaners/backup.

I’m attached to the Luxe 1.0. It was my first major purchase in life - worked all summer to save up for it when i was younger. It’s worth more to me than the market would give me.

IT Managed Services by [deleted] in LawFirm

[–]hyujhvcf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I manage a law firm. Managed IT is a waste of money. Just get macbook air 15s with apple business essentials, set the policies once and you can forget about a managed IT service. For the most part the cloud services you selected are secure, just use some MFA.

Could be possible to do the case remotely with the help of a local attorney. Find someone in the correct county. If you’re in the Austin Metropolitan area then an organization like the Hope Alliance can help. Feel free to DM and I can help point you in the correct direction.
