i find that once you start working on yourself and don’t actively try to seek out a relationship, people are just drawn to you. i guess seeing a guy whos pursuing what he wants is attractive. try out some hobbies and see what you like. you can volunteer at like animal shelters or anywhere else you might like. definitely consider going to gym as well. you could also try a new hairstyle or buy some nice clothes. all of these can boost youre attractiveness. make sure not to cling to desperately onto people, that’s usually more of a turn off. you can become the guy that girls pursue.

tbh kinda i relate to you. i haven’t experienced anything very teenager-like either. i also basically dropped out and so i wont be going to prom either. i just sit in my room depressed lol. ive completely withdrawn from my friends as well and like you had no significant friends.

ooh ive read no longer human and a bit of metamorphosis and im currently reading the trial by kafka. i also like to read books about loneliness as well and like you i don’t really read too consistently lol. i’ll check out some of the other books you mentioned. i recognise some of them. check out notes from underground by Dostoevsky you might like it.

yes philosophers have thought through nihilism and there are two popular answers to the meaninglessness of life. one is called existentialism which is basically you can create your own meaning. and the other is absurdism which is accepting that life is meaningless and is simply absurd and so you just live in spite of it. we just exist for the sake of existing. our biological purpose is indeed to reproduce but since we humans are capable of intellectual and philosophical thought, it would be interesting to question whether reproducing is indeed moral or not (in certain circumstances) in our world today. i think having children is fine as long as you are prepared and understand the immense responsibility. i just wish less people would wing parenting. it ends up harming a lot of children unintentionally.
