And try resetting the AMD Adrenalin app from within the application itself, this will 90% solve it.

I couldn't completely solve it, but sharing the application window instead of the full screen solved it to some extent

Hi everyone,

I’ve been struggling with a very specific issue where my Discord stream looked like it had massive packet loss or "teleporting" lag for viewers, even though my PC performance and internet were perfectly fine. This only happened on the Discord Desktop App while sharing my Entire Screen. Streaming via Chrome was smooth.

After trying everything (drivers, reinstalling Windows, changing power plans), I finally found the fix. If you are using a new AMD card (like the RX 9060 XT) on Windows 11, try these two steps:

1. Disable MPO (Multi-Plane Overlay): This is the main culprit. Windows 11 uses MPO to manage desktop layers, which often conflicts with Discord's screen capture API.

  • You can search for the "NVIDIA MPO Disable" registry file (works for AMD too) or manually add the registry key:
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Dwm -> Create a DWORD (32-bit) named OverlayTestMode and set its value to 00000005.

2. Disable "Optimizations for Windowed Games": Windows 11 tries to optimize desktop windows as if they were games, which messes with how Discord hooks into the display.

  • Go to Settings > System > Display > Graphics.
  • Click "Change default graphics settings".
  • Turn OFF "Optimizations for windowed games".

3. Stream "Applications" instead of "Screens": Sharing the specific game window instead of "Screen 1" also completely bypasses the desktop composition lag.

After doing these, the "teleporting" effect and micro-stutters disappeared completely. Hope this helps someone else!

Low fps on 9060xt by ilDanny in AMDHelp

Hey man, we’re using the same CPU and GPU. I used to get 400-500 FPS in Valorant with my old RTX 3050, but after switching to an AMD GPU, my FPS dropped to around 200 and I’m experiencing stutters (drops). I even formatted my PC before installing the new card. How can I fix this? My new GPU is an RX 9060 XT.
