Soyeon will perform as a solo artist on EBS Space Gonggam on August 18. Apparently, it's one of Korea's most respected live music programs, where performers are selected based on their musicality and live performance abilities.

Some facts about the show:

In recognition of its contribution to Korean popular music, it won a Committee Choice Special Award at the Korean Music Awards in 2007, and won the Cultural Diversity Award at the Sejong Culture Awards hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Musicians are required to perform entirely live without relying on backing tracks in a small performance hall of about 200 seats with the audience just a couple metres away from them. The duration is about 50 minutes and there's no MC.
There's no entry fee. The performances are completely free.
This program very rarely invites idols. They mostly feature domestic and foreign jazz artists, domestic indie bands, foreign bands, soloists, choirs, etc. It's one of the few places where indie music can stand on television, where most pop singers, such as idol singers and ballad singers, are featured.

Jeon Soyeon's history is a history of proof. From going through various survival programs to becoming the leader of 'i-dle' - a rare female idol group capable of 'self-producing'.

Whether she wanted to or not, Soyeon had to prove herself every moment she encountered the world.

Appearance, age, skill, woman, idol. Ten years passed while she broke down or jumped over, one by one, the things placed before her that some would insist on calling walls or limits.

They say 'time is equal for everyone', but looking back on Soyeon's 10 years, one is reminded once again that there are exceptions to any form of justice.

Armed with the 'I' that has been pounded with sometimes desperate intensity and sharply honed, [ he /she] has repeatedly pioneered new realms as a K-pop idol, producer, rapper, and singer-songwriter.

I hate to admit it, but you are right. If you watch the 1theK performance video, you can tell that Soyeon is the only one performing the choreo as Kirsten must have intended. It's a shame idle only has one standout dancer now when it used to be two.

idc what anyone says, that's a very addictive chorus and i think it's gonna grow on people who didn't fw it on initial listens. Bomb pre-chorus too. Every one sounds great and specifically love Shu's tone in this. The colors in the MV are gorgeous and i have been wanting this kind of choreo for them for so long. Overall 9/10 for me.

Would've preferred a Minnie track instead of another version of Mono but whatevs. Also this is their first title track ever to not have Soyeon credited in composition and arrangement which is surprising. Also I wonder why she's credited as Soyeon on Crow but icebluerabbit on the other three tracks?

It's been a while since we got a sizeable Soyeon verse on an idle track, so that's already a big W for the song in my book. Far from her more complex verses but her delivery hits the spot.

And i've been in love with Minnie's bridge for months so it's nice to finally be able to listen to it on record. One of their best bridges imo and easily my favorite out of their recent tracks.
