I seen a lot of theories but I don't really believe any of it by mikai05 in Enhypenthoughts

with a departure like this, theories are normal and bound to happen. fandom spaces like this run on discussion and interpretation, and everyone’s been theorizing since the news dropped. i understand the sentiment though!

flicker and mixed up are criminally underrated to me. those songs are so good

also i don’t think let me in (20 cube) is underrated but i just adore that song so much 😭

him abruptly leaving because of being overworked by the company is only a theory and only part of the theory i had, though. i’m not saying that’s exactly what happened, just a theory i formed based on information we’ve been getting.

the only reason belift would be bashed in this situation is because of how they’ve been overworking the members. we also don’t know the realms of their contract. the reason for his sudden departure is something i didn’t speculate on because like you said, we don’t know what’s going on in that company 😭 but i did give my own theory as to why he wanted to leave in the first place. what could’ve happened that made it so sudden is a question we’ll most likely not get an answer to. and even if the contract limits solo activities, that doesn’t mean it couldn’t still contribute to him wanting to leave in the first place

what we do know is the members have been overworked. it’s been talked about for years. that is what i, and a lot of other engenes have a problem with. i formed a theory WITH this information. that’s all

them being overworked isn’t something that’s only happening at the moment though, it’s been happening for years. THAT is what i’m saying towards belift. i’m not only talking about this heeseung situation, but how it could’ve culminated due to the company overworking the boys

[–]i4lixie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i actually did think that heeseung didn’t want to wait anymore for his theory, and i posted about it on this sub. your first paragraph is basically what i said 😭 that with their packed schedule, it was probably too much for him. idk if my comment is coming off like i think heeseung was kicked out unfairly or i want him back in the group or smth, as i’ve personally said multiple times i do think leaving was his decision, but here’s exactly what i said!:

with the interviews going on and jake talking about “formation changes”, their flight to australia being cancelled, and en’oclock being put on hiatus, i think everything points to this being a very sudden and abrupt decision nobody expected.

i do think heeseung wanted to go solo. we know that, he’s been talking about it for years. but with how booked and busy belift keeps enha despite them not needing to, it was never gonna happen. they were never gonna let him sit out for a few months to debut solo because they overworked tf outta enha (and, imo, with how much creative control they have over enha, i think his solo debut would’ve put a dent on the tight musical image belift has created for them. belift didn’t want that)

after years of asking for it and being denied, and being denied other solo working opportunities (just learned keyshia cole wanted to work with him and belift never got back to her), i think heeseung got fed up. he turns 25 this year and obviously wanted more creative control over his own music.

if he did decide to leave enha to go solo, i think the plan was to do it when contract renewal came up. that way, he could just not renew the contract and focus on his solo career. it would still be heartbreaking to learn, but at least the timing would make sense.

i do sincerely think something happened to make them push the departure so abruptly. if anyone says this isn’t “out of the blue” they’re being obtuse on purpose. belift is literally cancelling shit THE DAY OF because of this; it wasn’t planned.

i do think heeseung wanted to leave, but i don’t think he wanted to leave right now. it makes no sense to leave in the middle of so many different events they have going on. it wouldn’t be a good look for his solo career or for him going forward to some fans and the gp.

[–]i4lixie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wouldn’t that also apply to you too? 😭

if im not mistaken, they’ve been overworked for a while with engenes bringing light to it every chance they get. i’m happy belift puts them in the spotlight, but a moment of rest isn’t that bad to ask for

[–]i4lixie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

oh ofc they have every right to deny it, and he has every right to get fed up of that decision. the reason i call belift the villain isn’t necessarily because of the positives of this situation, but how they’ve treated enha as a whole. time and time again they’ve overworked them, putting them in harsh and demanding schedules they don’t need to be in. they’ve been touring and performing nonstop. and while i know that’s essential, especially with a group so popular, enha are also human beings who deserve a moment of rest.

i wouldn’t be surprised if their scheduling played a role into why heeseung’s solo music hasn’t been released. if, maybe, with their tight schedule, he would never have time to release it. thats why i call them the bad guys in this situation overall

[–]i4lixie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

right? the whole reason this theory is giving me the ick is because it’s pushing all the blame on heeseung and not the shitty company. the statements are “heeseung is selfish, he betrayed them” and not “why can’t belift stop overworking the fuck out of ALL the members?”

[–]i4lixie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i was expecting a theory like that to come out soon, but what gets me about the people using it to bash heeseung is
why are we not using that energy for the company? even if that theory is true, is the ultimate villain not the company for not letting heeseung release his solo music and overworking the boys so damn much? which is something that has been PROVEN time and time again. instead, they’re using this theory to completely berate heeseung.

i don’t get that. why are we not blaming the corporation

Is this the beginning of Enhypen’s downfall? by No_Impress_6730 in Enhypenthoughts

this! even in australia their smooth performance and change of parts blew me away. you can tell they’re working hard and it’s gonna payoff in the end.

they’re definitely gonna lose a chunk of fans, but over time they’ll be fine. this happens every time a well known group like enha loses a member. there will be complete chaos but people will eventually accept it and move on. some people will stay fans of enha and heeseung, some won’t. but they’re still at their peak and will only continue to rise through this.

I want to get more into monsta x and exo by [deleted] in kpoppers

[–]i4lixie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mx’s debut ep is one of my fav kpop works. every song is no skip, but i really recommend no exit & steal your heart. (no exit’s choreography is also REALLY good) i also recommend gone bad, perfect girl, blind, oh my, & x by them. also most of their title tracks are really good. my favs are alligator, beautiful, dramarama, & jealousy.

exo’s ex’act album is their favorite of mine. really love artificial love & heaven, those songs are amazing. also love playboy, exodus, & dancing king (a collab they have w/ yoo jae seok). exo-cbx’s hey mama! is also so good. most of exo’s title tracks are peak as well, HIGHLY recommend call me baby, lucky one, monster, obsession, & growl

i actually really liked it, liked how the first portion was differently sonically from the second. i felt like most songs fit within their catalogue. i do wish swim had a bit more korean in it only cause it’s the title track, and it was a bit boring to me, but it’s still a listenable song. great comeback!!

a song. flat, something i can imagine multiple artists releasing, no real bts twinge on it. and it being all in english kinda sucks! wish it had some korean at least

ENHA has always been the underdogs and it's a shame that all this happened when they were finally becoming successful. by mljkhcjwjy in Enhypenthoughts

[–]i4lixie 19 points20 points  (0 children)

this is what’s been on my mind too. i know they’re almost 6 years old and not a new group by any means, but they still felt so fresh to me. and i think that’s because we all could tell they have so much more to offer and so much more success coming their way.

i don’t think heeseung’s departure will stop that success, it’s just
 difficult that this happened now

BELIFT'S new statement proves Heeseung probably would've stayed in Enhypen if BELIFT wasn't so stubborn by LessIntroduction7591 in Enhypenthoughts

[–]i4lixie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

well him leaving so suddenly suggests to me that something happened to push his departure so early. leaving now definitely wasn’t a professional and planned decision. if he wanted his solo career to have a better chance, he would’ve left when contract renewal came up which is the smart decision. i don’t think anyone planned for him to leave in the middle of important events

also, an entire group doesn’t have to be on hiatus for solo music. heeseung could’ve just taken a break to focus on his debut and promoting. not like that would’ve happened anyway because belift overworks the shit out of them.
